Description

Year after year, the New York style pizza at Vinnie Van Go Go's is voted best in Savannah. Offered whole or by the slice, the pizza here has a crisp, flavorful crust and can be piled high with your choice of fresh toppings. Indoor seating includes a few small tables and a counter with tall stools, but the best place to sit is outside on the patio. Even in colder weather, space heaters warm the outsides of patrons, while pizza warms the insides. Beer and wine available. Cash only.

The pizza is good and the location is what I believe attracts so many people. It is located on Market Sq and they have bands and all different shops there as well as the carriage rides pick up here to. It is a cash only place. I thought it was overpriced though. You get a medium size cheese pizza for around $12 but then it is an extra $1.50 per topping so if you like supreme it adds up. You can get a beer for $3. They set you outside in rusty lawn chairs and it gets hot in the middle of the summer.

I think the best pizza I have ever eaten. Huge pizza's, ton's of cheese, topping's choices were good. Note the "sausage" can be a little spicy. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant and can afford to be because it does get packed. They also deliver.

It was worth carrying cash to eat the pizza at Vinnie Van Go-Go's. I even called my buddy in Boston who used to live in Savannah to let him know where I was eating and he wished that he was there beside me.

Best pizza in Savannah. The slices are big enough, and cheap as well. It's delicious... You can never get tired of going there. Great cheap date!!!

Great Pizza; quite possibly the best we've ever had. Don't miss out on this one! (Cash only). This was my 2nd time eating there and I can't wait to go back. Very popular spot.

Such a cool place to meet friends, have a great slice of pie and drink a few cold beers. Still my favorite after all these years!

Great place to go with the family or with the guys. Pizza is great and makes you feel like you're on "The Godfather"!

My fiance and I made a trip to Savannah back in Dec '08 and figured we had to try this place based on the reviews alone! We were not disappointed. A bit intimidated by the long line of people waiting to get in at first, but when our wait was only 15 minutes, we forgot all about it. We sat outside. The space was very cramped with several small tables but it was still nice though being able to people watch as we waited for our pizza. The wait staff was a bit rude...no smiling allowed I guess, but the food made up for it. We both ordered single slices that were about the equivalence of a small pizza (at least that's what it felt like after we were done!). They were HUGE, oh so yummy annnnnd our lunch only cost $8. How can ya beat THAT?! We both definitely recommend a visit and can't wait to go back ourselves.

We LOVE this place. Everytime we visit Savannah, we order a pizza to go and take it back to our nearby hotel room to eat for dinner. The pizza is plenty big for the 4 of us and we save the rest in our in room fridge for breakfast. I've never found better pizza anywhere.
