If ever a place was over rated this is it. The place is beautiful, but with it comes a price. The price are 5 star, the food is 2 star, the service is so poor you would think you were in NYC! They out New York themselves. Wait staff are often rude. Food is most of the time over cooked and you do NOT feel like you are in the friendly South. If anything, South Beach. Remember this is Georgia, not Boston or New York, we are better then that down here.
Excellent customer service. After lunch the staff took me on a tour, let me go to the wine cellar (vaults) I even had the opprotunity to use the orginal keys to the vault. Amazing, what a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner. Food was great and healthy portion sizes makes this a great place for the healthy conscious folks.
Sorry I haven't been here yet, but I'm going in December. I'm going to surprise my girlfriend with a nice romantic dinner. She's 19 and I'm 21. I know she has a nice dress to wear. What should I wear? Should I rent a suit or what? Thank You
Loved the atmosphere - old colonial decor. Service was good. The food was very good. I had the special veal cutlet - breaded and fingerling potatoes. LOVED the baby green salad with champagne dressing. The bread pudding for desert was not so great. Went downstairs to the tavern as well. Great atmosphere as well. Less formal downstairs - more lively. Warm fires roaring on a chilly damp night was very cozy.
There is nothing not to like about the Olde Pink House. From its history to its ambiance and romantic atmosphere, this has become a special place. After dinner don't forget to visit The Planter's Tavern below for a cocktail or two while relaxing by the fireplace listening to the baby grand.
