Garibaldi's

Description

Housed in an antique firehouse, this is a great spot for Italian meals and Old World hospitality. A youthful crowd predominates most nights; as diners linger over their post-dinner drinks, the atmosphere tends to get as wild as the colorful, impressionistic murals that cover the walls. The standard Italian fare experiences some unique twists in this kitchen, including crab-infused pastas, creative chicken and veal variations and sinful desserts. For a quick start, the calamari is a time-tested house favorite. Opens daily at 5pm.

My husband and I have been to nearly all of the finer dining establishments in Savannah and Garibaldi's was one of our less memorable experiences. Our waiter (Daniel) seemed better suited for an Applebee's than a fine dining restaurant. He was borderline rude and impatient. Our French Onion Soup and steaks were OK. I didn't feel like I was going to fall out of my chair with how good it was. I also had the brownie with ice cream. Honestly, I could have made better myself at home. Nothing special. Worst part of it all is that it was our anniversary, I asked for a nice table and got put in the corner by the bar. Geribaldi's definitly is not the spot to go if you want to get treated special. Take your $150 to the Pink House (their sister spot). You will leave feeling like they CARED, the food will be much better than MEDIOKCRE and you won't feel like you just left an overpriced Applebee's.

Great menu and wine list. Romantic interior, great for just dinner or special occasion. Never had a bad meal or experience there.

Salty, greasy, heavy food. Mediocre ingredients. Rampant kitchen malpractice.

The waiter had something in common with my latest bankcard offer: 0 interest. He forgot the wine, after two prompts. No water refills.Tried to tell us about the specials, but couldn't quite remember what they were, except they were all great. Food was good, overly spiced, but not in a bad way, just over the top, especially with garlic. The waiter forgot the two spoons we asked for to share a sundae. Couldn't tell if he needed meds or was on meds.

food was ok but NOT a 25 more like 21 a very big difference. Howver the service was not southern relaxing rather when you have to wait over 20 minutes for glass of wine which the waitress is reminded about and still doesn't bring it well that just BAD service

Eat upstairs in the old ballroom. It's a beautiful room. The service and the food were excellent. We shall definitely return

Decor is pleasent. Food was amazing. Service was despicable. Upon leaving, I felt both insulted and enraged. We had issues with the server assistant all night, including bringing out a check that was entirely wrong. When working to solve the problem, we were laughed at by both him and his manager. In the end, we were correct. The Manager "apologized" and quickly walked away as the server brought the correct check. NO IDEA OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Wonderful this place delivers in a number of ways. Food, Service, and delivery. I would rate this in the top 5 in Savannah. Great wine list as well. My wife and I loved it and we will go back. If you want a wonderful romantic evening out with someone special this is the place.

Charming turn-of-the-century decor, with gilded mirrors, tin ceilings and lots of wood, this bygone era bar scene is the perfect place to relax. The staff is very friendly, and they pour on the southern charm. Wine list is pretty good, although the BTG selection is 1) limited and 2) fairly pedestrian. The food is good to very good, but not inspired. You wont have the meal of your life here, but you will leave comfortable and satisfied.
