Chart House Restaurant - Savannah, Savannah

Dinner started off by being seated at the wrong table, my son’s meal was wrong & the server said “oh” and walked off never making it right, the server placed my to-go-box (leftovers) in a used bag with someone else’s food on the outside of the bag. I made it clear that it was my husband’s birthday and he was about to deploy to Afghanistan so I wanted to make it special. The server did not even wish him a Happy Birthday, he also left the candle I brought in & handed him off the desert. Server was very rude to my husband & I (to an embarrassing point) even though we stayed very friendly with him trying to change his attitude. Nobody, even server never asked who the meal, appetizer, drinks, desert or after dinner coffee was. $186 later for 2 adults/1 kid & I was furious I wasted my husband’s bday celebration & money at the Chart House. I will never go again. GM said he was sorry afterwards but the damage was done. And nothing was even attempted to make it right. The blew it! But nobody seemed to care.

Don't go...we took a trip to Savannah for Memorial Day weekend, hoping for some good food and fun. At Chart House, we had poor service, below average food, dirty glasses, and just an overall disappointing experience. Not a good first impression, Savannah.

I've decided to try the restaurant after reading the reviews. Clam chowder soup was too salty, so the pilaf, which appeared to be reheated several times. The vegetables were undercooked. The overal food quality is average, but considering the price-poor

The Chart House on Bay St. is an amazing place to eat for any special occasion. If you don't like the service that the waiters and waitresses give you you must be fed by a silver spoon so-to-speak...

We stop at the Chart House every year when we travl from North Carolina to Florida. We love the place.

after reading reviews I set out for Chart House. Cool building but very aggressive pushy service and not great food plus NO LOCAL seafood! South Asian shrimp???!! right here in the heart of shrimp country USA. I did order some North Carolina trout which was steelhead but I am not feeling well at this point after dinner. That was one of the only fish from this country period on the menu. The waiter pushed certain dishes to the point that I felt like I was at a car lot. We were harassed with a long description of a dessert which took 30 min to prepare right as we were served our entrees. The description ended with the question - shall I put that order in for you now then? which was how he ended each description of heavily recommended dishes. sorry but it was poor service, no local selection of seafood in a port town and just not good. It was however very expensive Pink House was excellent by the way and didn't cost a lot more. Really gourmet , inventive dishes, great service and local seafood.

We purposely by-passed this place on our first visit to Savannah because we knew it was a chain restaurant.....what a mistake! Without a doubt, our dinner there a few nights ago was the finest we've experienced in Savannah. The motif and ambiance blend perfectly along the river & our dinners were excellent. The Chart House was one of the highlights of our trip.

I must say that if you find this food lacking in flavor, you have over-developed taste-buds or you really have no idea what you're talking about. Everything I've ever eaten at a Chart House has been delicious, including the medium rare New York strip I had at this restaraunt a week ago.

Average restaurant--after reading several reviews of the restaurant and visiting their website, I was expecting exceptional food & service. However, the food was lacking in flavor, and the service was nothing beyond average.

I go to Savannah quite frequently and have tried many great restaurants; however, the Chart House remains my favorite. I have tried several things on the menu, and I have never been disappointed. The wait staff is very prompt and friendly. The crab cakes are a must!
