This place used to be great, but since it has been under new ownership, things aren t looking as bright. They have less to offer the public. Each time we go into the store it looks like more was pulled out. They moved stuff around, but there is less to buy. We may have to look around for a new meat shop, because it doesn t look like this one will be open much longer. It used to be busier, but now you can walk in, walk to the meat counter, then to the register in under five minutes. No lines, no waiting...sadly.
Road kill would be better than what there sering here. These new owners have run the place into the ground. I went in there to order a roast and the owner gives me a hard time. He wants all the money up front. I look around and decide to go somewhere else. A place thats well lit, clean floors and people who do not have body jewlery hanging over my food.
This place has turned into a dump and there is nothing on the shelves the place is empty. How good can the product be? The place is dirty the floor walls and if you notice the clerks behind the meat counter never wash there hand between customers.
I have been going to the Bull Run for years and on all my Birthdays and Christmas some of my family get me gift cards because they know I like it. Not to long ago I went to get my lunch meat and other cuts as I had so many times before when I went to the counter to check out the male clerk swiped my gift card and said I had no balance ( not the case had called the number on the card before I went in to make sure I had the right gift card and had plenty of money on it ) I told the cashier this and even called the 800 number on the card and put it on speaker phone so he could hear and sure enough I had plenty of balance to cover the grocery. The cashier could careless and said well we use a 3rd party for our gift card so if my machine cant take it, you cant use it, and contact them. I asked for a manager he said the Owner/manager was not there but wouldn't be able to do anything anyways cause it was between me and the gift card company. Well my gift card says Bull Run on it and Bull Run took the cash when it was purchased. So as far im concerned they took my money gave a gift card card I cant use, wont refund my money,and wont honor the value of it in the store. Some gift card......MEAT HOUSE here I come!!!!!
went there for the first time yhesterday the Butcher was more than helpful.
While it is a tad pricey the steak is as high quality as Ive found around here.
Wasnt really too impressed with the to go meals or other faire but will definatly go back for the top notch meats.
Wow - not good! 15 minutes to get a cheeseburger to go - medium, the lettuce and tomato. Get back to work with order and no cheese, no tomato, and cooked as well done as a hockey puck. So back to the store and got a refund. The manager had ZERO empathy - I won't be back. If this is a 0 on the 0 to 10 scale, Supreme Pizza up the street is the 10. Faster, cleaner, wider menu, and they care about your experience. No poor taste T shirts either - and that is no bull. Merry Christmas 2009. Its so hard to imagine that a place that specializes in meat products can screw up an order for a cheesburger and not care about it. Given their poor location and attitude, I wonder what store will take their place?
II have found the quality of the meat at this shop to be excellent. This is not a supermarket so the prices are a little higher but with the great products you get real service.
Their restaurant which is attached also is pretty good, portions are large and depending on the choice the food is OK to excellent. Anything with their House marinate is excellent. Burgers are great. I recommend both.
