We've been there 4 times as a family. The first time the pizza was good - but took a while to get the pizza, the second time the pizza was great and my husband loved the beers, the third time the pizza was burnt TWICE - can you believe TWICE? Six months later we decided to visit again - not during rush hour and not on a 1/2 half price pizza night - hoping to have another experience like the second, but it took 45 minutes to get the pizza. I timed it this time! We arrived at 4:20 +/- and were waited on promptly. At 4:30 the order was placed (one 20" pizza and 2 single slices) and the pizza arrived at 5:15 'ish. We have now put a LARGE black X on the pizza joint and the only way we will EVER return is if they are giving pizza away for free.

I love the atmosphere and selection of beers! The pizza is good; however the Devito Sandwich has taken a nose dive. I haven't been in almost a year and this sandwich was my absolute favorite. The sandwich is now skimpy on fillings. It was once the best sandwich in town creating the perfect combination with its banana peppers and balsamic vinegar, which has now been replaced by fewer banana peppers & balsamic vinegarette, not vinegar. I'm not impressed at all. It was a huge let down & I hope management reads this and makes some good changes!

They have a ton of beers to choose from, but the pizza isn't that great. In fact, it's not good at all. If you like your toppings steamed under thick heaps of cheese (i do not) then this is the place for you. Personally, I would rather my pepperonis be crispy and my mushrooms not be raw b/c of their protective cheesy blanket. meh. it's cheap though.

would much rather drive down the road to the Mellow Mushroom. The pizza was bad and the service matched.

We eat here about three times a month. The pizza is the best we have ever eaten, but the service is the worst we have ever seen. The waiters and waitresses are all very young and could care less about bringing your order on time or giving you a refill on drinks. The pizza is a 5 star for us, but the service needs a major overhaul. The OWNER needs to be reading these reviews because I am not the first to slam the service. Get better quality workers and I guarantee you will have a first class business.

If you are going to the Pizza Joint downtown on Broad St., make sure you have the exact change and you don't get a waitress named Amanda. I recently went in for lunch. The buffet was great! But when I gave the server my money (a $50 bill) she brought me change back for a $20. I am an auditor and in my world everything must balance to the penny, so 3000 pennies is craziness. I will see them in civil court!

I'm 59 years old and I finally have had the worst pizza I could ever find. NY style pizza is no excuse for skimping on ingredients. My 14" pizza at $15.95 was a joke. The pizza had virtually NO cheese, just a sprinkling of meat (and this was the carnivore special) and the entire pizza was maybe 1/4" thick. Paper thin crust. My wife and I left there mad, hungry and headed to another place for the remainder of our meal. We completely wasted $22.00 plus 4.00 tip (it wasn't the waitresses fault). Won't be back and will bad mouth them to everyone I meet. I see the place is fairly successful with 3 locations, but heck, what did they find that I didn't? Pizza hut, Papa Johns, even a store bought microwave pizza would have been a better bargain and better meal. Hey, Mr. Owner, tell your staff that it's ok to put some stuff on top of that crust before popping it into the oven.

At least the food was good!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/09
I love eating here because the food is always good. However, I cannot say that the service is always good. On two occasions the waitress (different ones) told us about specials, but were wrong and charged us the original price. Instead of professionally handling a customer issue, the waitress then got rude with me when I expected the price she first quoted Very disappointed!

The pizza is good and cheap and so is the service. I have never not left a dime while dining out due to service but this one girl that waited on our table was rude, and was acting as if we owed her something rather than doing her job. If you don't get servers in this place I can see others (I know I will) going to some other place just to be able to get treated with respect and not like we are a hassle to them. Oh, and the waitress told us "Thanks for helping me pay my bills" once she realized we were having a few choice words with the manager about our experience. This is to be expected if you go so do yourself a favor, like most are saying and just get your pizza to go, you will be glad you did.

The pizza isn't too good but the Greek salad is excellent, and huge. The servers are great though and the atmosphere is the best. Love the outside seating. And best of all, they are dog friendly.
