The Bee's Knees

Description

Traditionally, tapas dishes have been associated with Spanish cuisine. However at THE BEE"S KNEES, we take a global approach that encompasses various cultures and flavors from around the world. From Thai to Spanish, Cajun to Mediterranean and Japanese to French, we have selected a menu to please the palate. Our many vegan, vegetarian, poultry and seafood dishes are accented by our extensive selection of beer, wine, spirits, sake, coffee, and tea. The name, The Bee's Knees, itself has it's own curious meaning. Taken from 1920's jazz influenced slang, it refers to the "hip" or the "cool" thing such as "The Cat's Meow". We encourage sharing!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The food isn't that expensive and it's always good, the staff is always nice, and the atmosphere is awesome. It's a great place for when you wanna dress up and go out with your friends (or family) but don't want to spend a whole lot. Definitely check it out!!! AND a plus (especially for dt augusta restaurants) is that there is plenty of parking because you can just park at sandwich city (after they close to avoid a ticked or getting towed) which is about a half of a block away from the restaurant.

This place is so cool. It has a funky laid back atmosphere, the resturant has a very unique set up from the art displayed throughout to the music. I have enjoyed each meal and each time the service has been very good. My favorites are the Citrus salad, Seaweed salad, Korean Napa rolls, salmon patties - which are too small in my opinion and the Creme Brulee. I "hear" that the Sangria is very good too - it looks like it too.

Great atmosphere. Awesome cocktails. Yummie Tapas. You have to try the pad-thai.

When I went, I had great food and great service. The food arrives at your table whenever its ready. So small appetizers will arrive before main dishes.

Great food and wonderful drinks, however the service is not so good... Very unfriendly staff... Was embarrassed when I took clients there bragging how wonderful the food is, kind of ruins it with staff behaving like your bothering them and their doing you a favor....

The food is awesome, but the service is HORRIBLE. Do not go there if you are hungry because you will be waiting awhile. The waiters and waitress have poor customer service also.

This is a great resturant. The service totally shocked me, and so did the food.

It's a tapas style menu with strong asain influence. Good beer, wine, and martini selections. Only open for dinner. Prices are fair. One of the only places downtown open on Sundays!
