Paul s is the best restaurant in Helen! We always eat there when we visit. They have a variety of items on their menu to satisfy most anyone. The downside is, since it s so popular, there s almost always a wait. While we were there on Thursday night, there was karaoke out on the deck, which was enjoyable and made the wait more bearable. Great food and atmosphere!
We visited Pauls on the March 9th. The food and drinks was great but a little pricey for dinner. The portion is size is very large like a typical steak house. Our bill for two was about $55 for drinks. Service was nice also.
Came to Paul s and had the crab stuffed broiled flounder. The food was excellent but the portion was smaller than I had thought it would be for the money. Marinara sauce for appetizers is lacking in flavor also. Overall the food was awesome, price was high and it gets busy. We came in at 5 with no wait on a Tuesday, but at 6 when we left the parking lot and restaurant were almost full.
Open for dinner only and the parking lot is always packed. All you can eat specials each night. Crab legs Thursday, Prime rib Friday. Enjoyed the crab legs, perfectly cooked and they are not stingy with the portion size. I usually tell them to bring me less after the first round. Service prompt despite crowds and food very good. Can be expensive. Look to the local paper for coupons and get $5 off entries.
We had a very nice time at Paul s. Unfortunately, they were out of scallops. The steak that my husband had was very tender. I had the fried oysters and shrimp instead. They were good as well. Go early so you can get a table by the window.
We ate here for dinner when we were staying in Helen last May. Although the town and this restaurant were crowded, we were seated quickly and the service was very good. The food also was good; not a huge diversity, but plenty of steaks, chicken, and some fish. This certainly is one of Helen s better restaurants.
The service was excellent. We went on a Friday night and had a party of eight hungry guy. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating. Drinks and appetizers came out quick. It was not a very long wait on our steaks either. Ordered mine medium rare, and that is how I got it. Good rib-eye cut and at $18 it was not overpriced. All weekend we talked about how impressed we were with the place. We will definitely be going back.
