Lucia's Tavola, Brookline

Delicious, delicious, delicious!! Love the new owner/chef. My favs are the antipasto platter and the chocolate gelato. I've heard great things about the gnocchi. You've got to try this place!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Brookline. We heard about it through word of mouth. The food is fantastic. They have homemade pasta and use only the freshest ingredients. It is true that you can watch Lucia through an open kitchen window. Both her and her husband have personally come out and spoken to us when we have dined there. It would definitely be worth your time & effort to find this hidden gem. WE loved the food so much that we had Lucia cater our wedding. We ordered enough food for 30 people and she did a superb job a few days before Christmas.

My husband and I have passed this easy to miss restaurant many times and decided to give it a try for our Valentine's dinner. It's small so you get great personalized service. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with lovely Italian operas playing in the background. The food was wonderful! We recommend spending the extra $2 to get the fresh pasta instead of the boxed. There was plenty to choose from and it makes a great difference having your meal freshly prepared. We took 1/2 of our meal home as the portions were generous. Someone who I assume was the proprieter came over to personally talk with us at the end of our meal. Our whole experience there was great. It's a true gem hidden on a little hill in Brookline. Try it - we loved it and will be going back.

The food was freshly prepared and wine was wonderful. The owner/head chef makes you feel right at home, but I could never cook this well. This was a wonderful place for a relaxing meal.
