Ray's on the River, Sandy Springs

I don't know where this woman went to dine, but it could not have been Ray's on the River. My husband and I go to Ray's on the River every year for our anniversary and could not be treated better. Everything is superb, the food is excellent, our waiter was fantastic and attentive. We will be going again on November 13 and are greatly looking forward to it. We couldn't ask for a more wonderful place to celebrate our special day. We have even given our son and daughter-in-law several gift certificates to Ray's and they love it as much as we do. Also many of our friends love it too. I have never heard anything derrogatory about Ray's on the River except from this woman.

Ray's is a unique dining experience in the Atlanta Area. Seafood brought in fresh everyday. I menu that changes with the freshest seafood available. First class atmosphere, v ery good service. The caviats are that even with reservations, Ray's tends to get crowded and the wait time for a table can be long. Since the last renovation, their prices have gone up to an almost unreal level.

We saw some lukewarm reviews of Rays on this website before we left California, but for various reasons, tried both Rays on the River and the City Rays. We had great experiences, for brunch on the River (great view, great selection and fine service) and for dinner downtown (fish was very good and so was the service). We would go back.

What a great location and building! Too bad it was ruined by lousy service and so-so food. We had 12 in our party and the waiter messed up drink and food orders. The parmesan scallops (which are a Ray's specialty) were salty - the waiter bragged that they were not soaked in MSG like other places and were packed in their own juice; yeah right!

Hello everyone! I took my wife and my daughter out to Ray's looking for the same service we got before but was upset my med. well 12oz. filet was served burnt and med. rare. Waited over 10 min. to get the waitress to the table had the filet reordered while my wives got cold as we waited for mine to be cooked again. Finally lynn our server brought it out it seemed to be cooked right but i believe they microwaved it because it was grainy like a sirloin. By then it was late they were closing and here comes lynn with desert we did not order and it was a praline strawberry desert which before this, we asked for a desert menu. We told her we did not want that. I over hear lynn g. tell her manager that she tried to give us the praline that was left over in the freezer but we declined and had cheesecake. Just horrible service and food we waited forever for drinks and everything still paid 55.00 for my filet, desert was free, wow 7.50 free for two hours of my time to eat for valentines day. I hope this review helps your decision on a nice evening with your significant other. Happy Valentines ladies!!!!

The steaks are amazing! So is the seafood. Gotta go and see the river and eat, eat, eat.

Great service, great food! What more would you want? How about a great view! The food was fresh and omlets made to order. Enjoy!
