Food was not good quality, service unfriendly, and chai watery.

Raja is amazing. We've been going here for years, and always on New Year's Eve. The tandoori is always tender, and the naan is amazing. I always get the Lamb Karai and it is so good. Hubby gets the vindaloo and says it is the best he's had (outside of this awesome place we ate in Munich). Go here. You won't be disappointed.

i have just returned from eating at the raja.it was not at all authentic.my daughter threw her food up when we got home!the waiter did not understand anything we said.it is horribly over priced and her meal in particular was litterally disgusting pig swill.they have a nerve to sell any of that s!!t we were served.

Like: none Dislike: Food, Service and Price. Donot ever go to this restaurant. I don't know if the other reviewers are Indians. Being a Vegetarian, I had Veg Biryani which was not at all the normal Biryani and the Mullagantany Soup too. When questioned what they are, you get a weird non relevant explanation. The food at this restaurant is not at all authentic. You are been served what you had asked for, but is something different. Please do not waste money on food which is not worth it. I know what Indian food is and these people give a bad reputation to Indian food.

I took a large party of 15 to Raja and the wait staff was very good about taking care of us and about setting a large table up despite the smaller size of the restaurant. The food came in good time considering the size of the group, and was excellent. I'd say that the only downside is that the food is slightly pricy for the portions, although taste wise it is superb. I give it a solid rating, just be conscious of the price. The entrees seem to average around $11.50 or $12.00, and the portions are standard if not slightly smaller than what I've had at Indian restaurants in the past. Also - for anyone who is debating trying Indian food for the first time, I suggest you go for it. It's awesome!

Raja is very expensive compared to most Indian restaurants and the portions are even small for their so called dinner portions/prices. I didn't like that they did not have smaller portions for the vegetable dishes, it felt as though you were limited to either meat or vegetable with no option to enjoy both. The food was average, not outstanding. If you want great Indian food and a great price, go to Decatur it is worth the drive and lots of Indian restaurants to choose from.

I took three out of town visitors to Raja last night and we all enjoyed the meal very much. The food was very good, the ambiance warmly pleasant, and the wait staff good. Everyone was polite and each thing we ordered was brought quickly with no mix-ups. The chicken Tika Marsala was particularly delicious. I'll go back soon! -MW
