My husband and I were excited when greeted by the Valet service, however parking is $26/night!!! As we entered the hotel lobby I thought WOW! until we took a tour this Hotel needs a MAJOR upgrade. Aa we entered our room we were sadly dissapointed & immediately greeted by the smell, the furniture was dusty, out dated and stained. The aminities are so out dated. The water pressure in the shower was awfull. We will not make another reservation at this hotel until they make MAJOR upgrades i.e tv, bathroom, bed & telephone1975... oh and you have to pay for internet service are you kidding me! this not a place for a person with allergies or asthma. MY HUSBANG GOT SICK!!!
Its a beautiful hotel. Staff is not friendly..Its 26.00 a day to park(even if you are a guest),,,Valet does not get your car in a timely manner..there is no where in the hotel to warm up your food. or no mini refrigerator.
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is it has a nice view. We took our family to Atlanta for a nice weekend trip but the hotel experience was anything but nice. I could not believe how small the room is and the smell that hits you as soon as you walk in, unbelievable. I called housekeeping to request air freshener. They did bring us some but it only lasted for about an hour then the horrid smell returned. I had to wash everything when we got home to remove the moldy smell from our stuff. The beds were very small. I'm not that tall but my feet still hung off the end of the bed. Last but not least, the valet service was horrible. We got up on Sunday morning to take the kids to Six Flags park and had to wait for over an hour to get our car. The valet attendant came back out and told us that he could not find our keys. My husband had to go back and find our keys from the peg board because they had put them on the wrong peg. Then it took him forever to get the car out to us. Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at this hotel again!!!!
My wife and I just returned from staying at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. We booked online for their Enchanted Evening package, which was a good deal for an overnight stay, to celebrate our anniversary, as we were unable to do any significant traveling this year. We had dinner reservations on Friday evening at the Sundial. Upon checking in, were assigned a suite on the 70th floor!! Once we arrived, to our utter amazement, they had given us the Presidential Suite!! This place was awesome. The suite occupies the 69 & 70 Floors, wet bar, piano, lounge area, and a huge walk in sauna type shower. Unbeatable views of the city, Jacuzzi tub overlooking the cityscape. We were able to see the fireworks after the Braves game at Turner Field. The bed and living areas of the presidential suite were enormous. The suite was clean and quiet. Definitely not what we were expecting. it did feel a bit strange having all that room with only two people. I felt like I should have thrown a party LOL!
Dinner at the Sundial was great. Appetizer (Chicken Araninci) was good and the entree of Roast Chicken was warm and juicy upon arrival. The views are incredible. Overall, the Westin was a great place for a quick overnight stay and we felt like royalty in the suite. Thank you Westin Peachtree Plaza for making our stay a memorable one this year. We will definitely be back.
This Hotel as a great view and that it. You can go to the top level where the restaurant is an enjoy the view for free!! My husband make a reservation on line for our weeding anniversary. We have stay at Westin Hotel before and we love them. But this one is terrible. The rooms are old and the carpet is nasty and the smell in the room..let me not start on that. So do not think the room is going to look like the pictures on line. The furniture is old, and stain. we will never stay in that one again. The location is terrible and a lot of people that are not staying in the hotel walks in the lobby, loud and poor taste.
It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at http://referer.us/www.hotelscombined.com/City/Atlanta.htm?a_aid=24568 They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
