Benihana - Atlanta - Downtown
Welcome to a dining experience unlike any other. Watch as your personal chef performs the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Listen as razor-sharp blades slice and dice through mouth-watering steak and tender chicken. Take in the aroma as savory vegetables, shrimp and lobster sizzle before your eyes. Or visit our sushi bar, where your sushi chef will prepare the freshest sashimi, maki and temaki sushi, all with the same flair that made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine.
All I can say is everyone's experience is different...
For me, the first visit was great. Even the girl next to me kept asking me what I ordered...right down to the drink. I guess my luck was good for a change (when it comes to ordering the perfect meal for the first time), and I ate everything. Even my ex-boyfriend's plate. Of course not all ate one time...i can't eat that much. To go boxes are provided for your left overs.
I've heard there are equally fantastic places if not better. However, I'm not going to gamble with that and just go back for the best meal ever. And forget about pricing. As much food as you get, you'll understand the pricing. I didn't find one meal on the menu under $23.99. Things could've changed since then, but regardless i'm going back for the same meal.....once I find a man that will pay for it. I'm kidding.
So, if you're ever in town and would like to try this place I say just do it. One tip of advice. When your main course is being prepared (the meats are cooking) and you are given your rice selection (w/ or w/o chicken - I prefer w/chicken) HOLD THE RICE. You can do what you want, but you'll need it to eat with your meat entree. It's so much better that way. Most meals come with shrimp as well...I think. So hold that too, cut it up and dump it in your rice along with your steak/beef. Enjoy!
If you're ever in tha heart of Atlanta ... have about 60-70 dollars on you .. and get a craving for some delicious Japanese style cooking then this is tha spot. Even if you have never been to a Japanese place in your life, you need to go here. Just GO! You won't regret it, I promise you. I've been here, 2 or 3 times and it's quickly became one of my favorite eateries. The service is GREAT .. even though it's always busy the service gets to you with the quickness.. the chefs are GREAT .. I love how u get to watch them cook in front of you .. The chefs are very friendly and will talk to you .. and do tricks and fancy things as they're doing so .. its very fun. The food is healthy too .. they dont cook in grease or oil .. it was probably the best cooked steak, shrimp, and chicken I've ever had. They put all the sauces on the side too so it's not already on the food but it's so good you don't need to put anything extra on it.
So if you're out on a date .. take your girl here, I'm telling you .. I think it's a great place for a date for all the reasons I listed above. You will enjoy yourself and eat some eat food in the process. Ain't nothing wrong wit that.
