Don't let the 20-foot (six-meter) skull that serves as an entryway deter you from enjoying the best burgers and pub food in the city. When club-hopping in Atlanta, a visit to this late-night spot is a must. This fun restaurant offers big portions, low prices and good food. The award-winning Vortex Burger is a half-pound (0.22 kilograms) burger with all the trimmings and there is a choice of pub-style sandwiches and salads. Vegetarian alternatives and non-beef sandwiches are available, while beers from all around the world serve as the popular foundation for most guests' evenings.
The pimiento burger and fried zucchini is to die for! The menu is funny as heck - a joy just to read. Parking can be problematic, and the service ranges from funny and efficient to gruff and not-so. Conversation can be difficult due to the loud music, but things are a bit better on the large screened-in balcony. If only it weren't so far from where I live ....
This bar was a welcome haven to my friend and I when we met in Atlanta. The atmoshphere was hoppin' without being peppy, the staff was like the cast of a music video, and the beer...wow! I love a place that has so much selection that it takes me 5 minutes just to narrow it down to one.
When Georgia's recent smoking ban - allowing smoking in only a handful of establishments, including those that don't admit anyone under 18 - passed, The Vortex stopped admitting anyone under 18. Smoker or not, you gotta love that.
The food is great, with burgers and tater tots that will keep you coming back again and again. Vegetarians will also find plentiful offerings. The beer and liquor selection is impressive.
Most of all, go to The Vortex for the atmosphere. I won't spoil it for you. Just go check it out for yourself.
Awesome bar, HUGE selection of ales and spirits and i don't mean 50 different kinds of light beer either. This is the kind of joint where you can be yourself, no matter how odd you are. Artie the bartender will CRACK you up while lighting your Lucky Strike and slinging a drink your way.He knows everyone by name and poison, even if it's only your second visit. This bartender says everything you ever thought but were afraid to say in public. The food rocks, even if you're prefer vegetarian fare. Don't miss this spot, you'll dig it!

Tucked away from the traffic of Little Five Points, this homey spot is easily missed, but not by locals. Crowds
line the sidewalk on weekend mornings for omelets, pancakes and, of course, the signature biscuits. Dinners are less famous, ...
