I gave my son a living social coupon to this restaurant and he told me the service was so bad, he ended up leaving. It wasn't busy, but he didn't have a reservation, so they said it would be 15 minutes. He waited in the bar for 30 min (with poor/no service) before asking about a table. They acted like he had just gotten there and said it would be another 15 minutes. He won't go back.

I had a Groupon-type voucher for this restaurant so I was excited about trying it out. Week #1 (Saturday) there was a private party, so no tables for the public until after 9 PM. Week #2 (Saturday) I called in advance and was told they were booked, so not even taking reservations. Week #3 (Sunday) I called and was told even though they had table available they suggested I make a reservation. However, the reservation had to be made for more than 1 hour from the current time. ??? When we got there a security guard asked to see our IDs. When we went inside, evidently there was a live music performance. A genre of music I am unfamiliar with was playing at an INCREDIBLY LOUD level. I had to literally scream to the host for him to hear me. My boyfriend and I had to text each other for the entire meal because we could not hear each other from across the table. A small conciliation: the food was pretty good. WILL NOT GO BACK. EVER.

The atomsphere is great for a party mood, however, it was quickly diminshed by the customer service provided by the manager. We went as a party of 10 with pre-reservation via web site. Upon our arrival, we were told we were NOT on their list for reservations. After literally showing the hostess our reservations on a phone, she put us in. But we would have to wait an hour. We waited the hour and inquired again. We were told to keep coming up to see if anyone else had cancelled their reserversation. The manager was requested and guess what? He was the person who was supposed to put our reservation in...but didn't. We were finally seated and the manager ganranteed satisfaction. He asked us if we liked liquor or champange, then asked us to choose an appetizer. No one wanted alcohol, but the waiter brought out a table of shots and appetizer. A waitress came introduced herself, she left with drink orders and never came back. A waiter came to our table about 7-8 times and then he disappeared. We finally got our ticket and he was gone again until we had waited long from him to return and headed to the hostess to pay. As we got up to leave the the manager and the waiter came(by the way, the manager was requested at the time we got the shots, the early part of dinner). They put the shots, appetizer, and a 20% gratuity on the bill. After telling the manage it was all his fault, we paid for what we ate and vowed to never return. I suppose, had we gotten drunk, like the mangaer expected, then we would have had a good time. But this sober experience is so not worth it.

LOCA LUNA HATES GAY PEOPLE!! I sent this feedback to management and still i'm waiting on a reply.. Hello, I’m not sure who will get this email however I hope that it gets to the appropriate management team of Loca Luna located on Amsterdam Ave in Atlanta. My name is Latania McKenzie and yesterday after having a lovely brunch at our usual place, Serpas we got invited to Loca Luna for drinks and to enjoy the live band. We were reluctant at first however decided that it has been years since we’ve been to that area; especially after the closing of The Red Chair (The Red Chair was located in your building). When we got there, we started to enjoy the atmosphere until a couple of our friends were walking up and was stopped by a man that seemed as if he frequented your location (he was walking around to other tables, sitting drinking and chatting with whomever). He asked my friend if she liked him and she smiled and said “no” and then continued to walk away. Shortly after that and after we ordered drinks and food, the man who stopped my friend got up and headed to the back. While passing us, he slapped my partner in her head with his elbow. This seemed as if it could have been innocent so I told my partner not to worry about it and continue to enjoy our Sunday. After a few moments the man walked back to our table, stopped grabbed my partner’s bum/ass/butt and then reached over and rubbed my breasts. I tried to speak with him, kindly asking him to go back to his table because I recognized that he was slightly drunk and that he needed to leave us alone. After going back and forth with him for a while, he went over to one of my other friends who was with us and ran his hand through her hair and continued to tell her that she wanted him. All this was occurring while the people around us watched and did nothing, including your staff members. One security person only got involved after the man and I almost got into a fight and the only thing they did was to come and ask me “what’s the problem?” as if I was the person causing the trouble. Eventually the security escorted the man out of the building but then less than 10 minutes later; he was back walking around and being a jerk once again. The issue I had with this is that no one cared that we were being harassed and this was definitely a sexual harassment issue happening that management didn’t even seem to care about. Your patrons should be protected from cases like this one or at least feel as if we are valued. The worst was that everyone was looking at me as if I was the one who started the problem, including your staff. I understand if you all would rather not have the LGBT community patronize your establishment however this may not be the best way to go about it. It’s just as easy to put up a sign at the door that states “LGBT money is not wanted here!”. This was absolutely an unfortunate experience, one I believe no one should encounter or endure, especially in Atlanta. PS: Let me point out that I was a frequent patron of your previous location.

Wow! Fantastic tapas and wonderful Mojitos. What more could you ask for. The choice and quality of the tapas was the best we've found anywhere. And the music was hot. Check out the Lula Frita, spicy calamari wwith a kick, or the Mejillones, steamed mussels with a smooth sauce that perfectly matches the Mojito.

My second home!!! This is one of the best tapas spots in Atlanta! The mojitos and caipirinhas are to die for, especially the coconut caipirinha! I'd live there if I could. The prices are so very reasonable that you could taste lots of plates and still not break the bank. The waiters are attentive and the bartenders make a "hearty" drink. Viva Loca Luna!!!

Good food, good service, but the space is really dark. It could really use some better lighting.
