We were at this restaurant this past Saturday night. We did have a large party and perhaps that's why everything seemed sort of chaotic. I had catfish, it was OK, but nothing to write home about. The fries were drenched in grease as were the hushpuppies. My daughter ordered the ribeye, it was dry and tasteless. She ordered it medium rare. One of the members of our party, had a hair in his fries. One person asked for a baked potato, but got fries. When she asked about the baked potato, she was told that they could microwave one for her....nice. This is just a few of the issues we had. We did speak to the manager, but she definitely had an attitude. We will not be going back to this restaurant. Eat at your own risk.
i was at riverbend about 3 weeks ago had the all you can eat meal found it very good as far as the food was concern no trouble getting seated but the initial service was very poor sit for 15 minutes before the waitress came to our table after the first order of fish arrived then things got better we are planing on going back thank you
Riverbend has been a family favorite for years. Not only do they have delicious catfish, fries, baked potatoes, huspuppies and cole slaw, they have a beautiful view of the Flint River to go with it. The waitresses are some of the best I've encountered anywhere in the states. And the prices are good. If you want good downhome southern fish camp food with a warm, friendly environment for you and your family, Riverbend in Thomaston can't be beat. I highly recommend it!
We went out of our way to visit the Riverbend Restaurant today. It was well worth the trip. They had been recomended by one of my customers from the Thomaston, GA area. The Cole Slaw, Hush Puppies, and French Fries were homeade and home cut. The Catfish were great as was the Catfish Filets. For four adults the tab was less than $55.00 with everyone well fed and satisfied. The service was great and we will be driving the 60 miles back to dine again.
