Toribios Mexican Bar & Grill, McDonough

We were looking for a new place to have a beer and good food, thought we would try Toribio s. The best thing we had was the beer, the food tasted like it came out of cans. The chile relleno was ground beef with a few pieces of pepper thrown in. My husband and I shared a plate but could nt finish it. Toribio s was an experiment gone bad! We won t be back

I LOVE THIS RESTURANT..Me and my daughter just moved to the area and was looking for one resturant when we road by this one. Tired and long day we decided to stop in and get something to eat.I must say that ended up being the best thing i could of done this was by far the best mexican food i had ever had comming from a girl who loves mexican food.They give you a lot of food for a little money Very Cheap Prices . Since that day of 2/1/12 we have decided to go there once a week. I highly recommand this resturant to any one who loves mexican food and who would like good and fast service..This place is a Big Band For Your Buck

HORRIBLE. I used to love this place. Recently though, we have had three absolutely miserable trips to Toribios. Two of the times we had a reservation for a party outside, received awful service, we were there for three hours and not because we wanted to be, and one of the visits the birthday girl had to wait two hours for her food which was just a bowl of cheese dip and some warm tortillas. The waiter both times was excrutiatingly RUDE and when the manager was confronted about his server, we were told that it was no big deal. This past time we went we waited twenty minutes to get a waiter and order drinks, then another hour for the food. The food when it came was cold, not what we had asked for, and I spent the wee hours of the morning and the next day sick. Save your money, Go somewhere else besides this fad restaurant. There are plenty of smaller Mexican places in the McDonough area with MUCH better food, MUCH better prices and MUCH MUCH MUCH better service. Im giving this place one star, and that's only because I have to.

Love them. The waiters are nice. The salsa is amazing and the beef has an incredible flavor to it. Highly recommended. Restaurant is clean.

They have great food and VERY fast service. We go there a lot and we love it. Also, the food is not expensive at all. And--free tortilla chips!

The food and service at this place is great. They bring both the fire roasted and hot salsa to the table, then we ordered the cheese dip. Mmmmm! The meals are good size, and they were willing to substitute an item.

I ordered the chimichangas and they were to die for; my dh got nachos light, which he said were very tasty; son #1 got a ribeye steak that he said was excellent, and son #2 got soup and it was equally fab. I also got a Bloody Mary that was definitely not skimpy on the spirits! We went on New Years Eve and the service was unbelievably fast, the joint was hoppin' as they say, and people were also taking turns at karioke which was fun to watch & listen to. A great evening and all the food we purchased was only $34. !! Best food of our week-long vacation. We are even contemplating a day trip back there just to have a great meal. It was that good. By the way, I have never left a restaurant review before. I only stumbled upon this page while looking this restaurant name up, hoping there was one near us. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic outing, but then we did go on New Years Eve, so I don't know if the place is usually that loud & busy.
