Lavender Thai & Chinese Rstrnt, Lawrenceville

When they say must try by their dumplings with spicy sesame sauce, they mean it! I could eat those for a week and not be sick of them! My boyfriend and I are poor college kids, and we love Lavender because it has a nicer feel to the dining area but still decent prices and of course AMAZING food. The sweet and sour chicken is to die for, fresh and fruity with real strawberries, pineapple chunks, and peach bits in the sauce!

My husband and I started going to Lavender in 2005 when we lived in the area. We have since moved 15+ miles away and we still go back for the excellent food! Recently they added Korean fried rice to the menu and we had it 2 nights in a row ... not leftovers, we actually went back again.

My wife and I were not disappointed. After reading the reviews, we felt that for being such a simple place at a simple location, we need to go. So, therefore, our expectations were high.So simply said, we would definitely go again. I got the Pad Thai and I wasn't crazy about it but that was not their fault, I have just realized that its simply not my favorite dish, but it still seem very good though. My wife on the other hand got the House Lo Mein and it was delicious. The food was served very fresh and the cleanliness of the restaurant was obvious. It was awesome to see the chefs clean the glass where they were cooking. It was important enough for them so that always says a lot. I was not blown away either, but I had no complaints. Based on my experience. I do recommend them.

This is the only place we even go out to eat at anymore! We go at least once a week and the staff recognizes us and gives us amazing service. Their curries are phenomenal! We go there for the Thai food and not a single Thai dish has disappointed us. Our personal favorites are the green curry, panang curry and coconut chicken soup. We have tried a few of their Chinese dishes and they are also exceptional, especially the sesame chicken. They also substitute tofu for meat if requested in their dishes, and charge you a dollar less for it!

I have been eating at Lavender's since they opened, they have exquisite Thai food. They are always friendly and go the extra mile. I love to take my family there on Sundays because they serve the lunch menu on weekends unlike some. Always very clean and professional and I should add that I love the Green Curry with chicken and the masaman curry. Green Curry has blended herbs and eggplant and chicken in a thick sauce akin to gravy. The Masaman curry has a touch of cinnamin in it with a mildly sweet sauce and potatoes and other veggies. We love it!

Very good. We've eaten in the restaurant only a few times (it's nice), but we order from them regularly since we have 3 kids. The food is always great, and delivery prompt. For a family with kids, this is our favorite place to order from when we need to feed visiting relatives but don't have time to cook. It's never let us down. The kids always want Pad Thai. Spicy Basil Chicken always wins the award for taste amongst the adults that try it.

Having lived a couple miles from Lavender for years, we never went in because it just didn't look that appealing from the outside. So, today, we went in for the first time and were highly impressed. Friendly service, very nice atmosphere (classy, even played Enigma music in the background), and really REALLY good food. I recommend their Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup). Many Thai restaurants offer this dish as well, but few actually get it right. Lavender is the closest yet to the real thing. 5 stars!

They have the best fried rice, broccoli chicken, pad thai, and thai rolls! Very fast delivery and so friendly and pleasant to deal with. They seem to appreciate our business and work hard to keep you coming back!
