Boondock's Restaurant, Saint Helena Island

Super location from Fripp island...very friendly staff & excellent food (and very cold beer!). Called the AM we were to visit to check if they would have a certain college football game on broadcast, and when we arrived upstairs in the bar area, we met the owner. he had taken the call that AM and turned to the big screen to the game right before kickoff. Kept coming back to make sure that we were having a good time. Our waitress was on top of food & drink orders, despite the large crowd. Only complaint (and it is a small one) was that they had a Cornhole Tournament going on this Thursday night (I think it is a regular activity)...it was very loud, but I believe some felt strips on the bottom of the game boards would muffle the sound greatly. And I also need to realize that this was a bar atmosphere instead of the restaurant downstairs...which is very relaxed. Two thumbs up and we'll be back for our next golf trip as well!

This place has really good food! We went on a Wednesday afternoon, and wow, this place gets packed for shrimp night! Te shrimp was delicious and the staff was very friendly! We will definitely be back!

This place is great. Go for shrimp on Wednesday nights. Good food and excellent service.
