I am a Myrtle Beach local, and my favorite Italian restaurant is Villa Romana. The meal begins with a complementary soup, tomato bruschetta, fresh garden salad and delicious homemade rolls. The meals are hardy, and true Italian flavors. The item I love is the homemade Gnocchi, it is by far the best Gnocchi I’ve ever eaten. The Frutti Di Mare is big, bold flavors with succulent mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp over fresh pasta in a spicy red sauce. The Combo Parmigiana is a mouthwatering dish, with Chicken, Veal and Shrimp in a marinara sauce with cheese. Villa Romana is reasonably priced, and offers a coupon in the “Monster” coupon book. Villa Romana is a “go to” restaurant for locals and vacationers alike.

Each time we come to Myrtle Beach we make a point to have dinner at Villa Romana. Each time we are just as pleased with our visit as the last. There is nothing we can say that is negative about our experiences there. Our meals have always been excellent! We've always had friendly and capable waitstaff and have been made to feel at home. We'll come back again and again.

We have been to Villa Romana several times over the years and every time they have been fabulous. The veal is the best I have ever had and my husband could drink the red sauce. We try to move around the menu by ordering different items but it is very hard because we fall in love with everything we eat at Villa and want to have it again. The wait staff is the best in Myrtle Beach and are extremely friendly and courteous. They may not recognize us as being previous customers but make us feel like family everytime we are there. I highly recommend Villa Romana and hope your experiences will be as great as ours! Enjoy!

Not knowing much about the Myrtle Area our first night out we ate here with great regret. First, upon entering we were greated by a snobish woman at the front who replied with a snooty answer to my wife when she asked if we needed reservations. After we were seated the atmosphere was very comfortable and the service was good. We found there was no kids menu and had to order from regular menu which was expensive chicken fingers and fries. I should mention the chicken fingers were the best part of entire dinner. My wife and I were both disappointed in our dinners the red sauce tasted like the inside of a metal can. We both grew up eating old school Italian cooking and this place is way off the mark.

Awesome food! Best Italian food since we moved back from Europe in 2007. I had the Frutti de Mare. It was huge with lots of fresh shellfish and fresh linguine pasta. My husband had the special, veal chop grilled with fresh mushrooms and a side of pasta. Their meals come with bruschetta, soup and salad, and fresh rolls with homemade marinara sauce for dipping. All included in the price. Will definitely go back to try more of their entres and pastas. Service was great and the owners come by to see how the meal was. Very friendly.

I went to Villa Romana on 4/9/10 for my wife's birthday. From the minute we walked in we were simply amazed with the decor, the staff and the amazing aromas. Our waitress (Tracy) was friendly, and a true professional. The food was more than 5 stars. I am second generation Italian/American born and raised in the Bronx and this restaurant made me feel I was not only back home but was being served items cooked by my own family members. Rinaldo came to visit and spent time talking with us and went so far as to give my wife tips on making Italian bread and pasta. He made a total of three trips to our table and discussed food, his mama and even Italy. I can only say this BRAVO to Rinaldo and the whole staff. We will be coming back again and again to what is now our second home.

My husband is Italian. He took me to Villa Romana for my birthday. I have never enjoyed a meal so much. The food was excellent. The staff was so friendly. Having dinner there makes you feel like you are with family and friends. The food is overwhelming. The prices are outstanding. We are from around Sumter, SC and plan on driving over 2 hours to Myrtle Beach specifically to dine at Villa Romana. THANK YOU Villa Romana and my husband for making my birthday so very special.

We just had the best meal! Coming from NJ we have our choice of good Italian restaurants...this is comparable to the best that the NJ- NY metro area has to offer. Great veal parm, fresh light scallops, great hot bread with dipping sauce. The pasta red sauce was tart and tasty, better than most. Our waiter, Duffy was great with suggestions and friendly to talk to, as was the accordian player....we felt like we were eating among friends. I truly believe there needs to be a comfort level with food, not a formal stuffy setting, this was great food with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. The owners circulated and visited with tables. We ate there 5 years ago when we were here..and we'll be back in August. On a strip of restaurants that offer chinese-Italian-seafood buffets..of greasy fried whatever..this is a gem! Thank you, Jo-Ann & Ken Bandomer, Plainfield, NJ

Whether your are locals, tourist or just passing through the area this restaurant should be on your must dine at list. Food is excellent, portions great and service above normal. So if you are looking for the best Italian restaurant this is the place to eat at. Owners are on location and you get the feeling that you have known them for many years. Don't miss out by not trying this restaurant out. Semperfi Pawleys Island SC
