Dixie Stampede, Myrtle Beach

I too was dissapointed that the stampede show was cancelled. However we decided to go and see the new pirate show. It was AWESOME!! My 6 year old grandson just sat there with his mouth open the whole time, Never said a word he was too busy taking everything in. Of course don't expect them to eat they are too enthralled with the show. Go, you will not regret it. My aunt and I are in our 60s we enjoyed it just as much.

I was very upset when I found out that the Dixie Stampede was closing. Ever since i was a little girl my mother took me there for the Christmas show as a tradition. I was wanting to carry on that tradition with my future children one day. Dixie Stampede is a rare attraction there are only 3 and soon to be only 2. I love the western atmosphere and the down home feeling when I go there. One of the only attractions that acknowledges Jesus birth. I felt privaledged to has one so close to home, unlike many others. It's everything the south is. I'm going to hate to see it go!

We LOVE the Dixie Stampede! We go every year with family-about 25 of us and love it. We also go randomly 3-4 times through the year and although we can recite the show word for word, the food is what we go for! Plus, we love to STAMPEDE! I wonder how the new show will change things. They need a new show but are the horses staying? Can we still do some sort of pirate stampede? I hope the change is good and not like the pirate show in Florida-it's not the best by far.

I recently read that the show is closing and Dolly is going to open a different dinner theater in the location. Its really time for a change. The show has been the same for many years and once you have seen it there is no reason to see it again. I look forward to Dolly revamping the theater next season.

It was my first time going and I think I enjoyed it more than my niece. The shows were great and the food even better. I would recommend it to my friends and family. With all the animals there I didn't detect any odor. It was totally enjoyable. Will surely go to the Christmas show.

I went to the show with my family on DEC.26 2009 what a spectular show. i could watch this from NOV. when it starts the CHRISTMAS show until it ends JAN 2 if i could afford to go every day. if you have never been you have missed the best show and food . You will just have to make plans to attend this special event. I cant wait until DECEMBER 2010 SO I CAN GO BACK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE LINDA IN NC..

I attended a show in Myrtle Beach on 10/15/08. The odor was awful. Others on our tour had been to the show in other locations and they never experienced an odor before. This was my first time and LAST time!!!!

Loved the Food & what a Amazing Show ....... My cousins and I where on a day out with the girls traving the NC Coast looking at the Lighthouses. So close to Myrtle Beach, SC we went on down for a Show & Dinner at the Dixie Stampede. This is the first North - South show we have seen. About every other year we come down for the Christmas Show. What a Great Surprise we had....... Best part is the horse shoe throw {T.Seat-LOL}:) LOVED THE FOOD AND AMAZING SHOW, BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE IS TOP/BACK ROW ....... We will be back Christmas ....... LR & DP

it was just the two of us (in our 60's) but out for a nice evening. came upon the Dixie Stampeed, it was fantastic. the only thing I would advise... we bought seats in the front row - should have been at the top row... couldn't see much except heads flying by us. People in the top rows were raving about what it looked like from there...... and... the front row seats are MORE expensive... go figure!!!
