The food at Bennett's was okay, but even with coupons the meal is way more expensive than it is worth. A 15% tip is added to your bill before it is given to you, and if you have a coupon, they add the tip in before the coupon is figured in so they pinch as much money out of you as they can. There were four in our party, and our waiter received a $16 tip. It was about $30 for each couple to eat. All we ordered were regular drinks and the buffet. Our coupons were buy one meal get one free. Needless to say we were very disapointed to find out after the fact about the tip. This place must make thousands of dollars in tips alone...You do the math...Is it really worth it? I guess they have to find someway to pay the pirate. lol Oh, and they tried to hit us up for pictures and some type of drawing as we were leaving saying how we could win $100. Go figure.
I am from the D.C. Metro area and Capt. Bennetts was a great seafood experience. The drive is long but Capt Bennetts Calabash Seafood makes it almost worthwhile in itself. I love the Myrtle Beach area so I
My husband is a seafood nut! He is from Maine and really enjoys great seafood. He was so pleased with our choice to stop in at Bennett's. We went 4th of July week. We had no wait. Food was very fresh and just GREAT!
this place was soo good, phillip and I couldnt get over the endless food bars that stretched as far as the eye could see.The staff helped me crack crab legs because i never had before.I eated a brownie that was the shizzle!
I absolutely loved this restaurant. The service was great along with the delicious food. I would highly recommend going here. As a matter of fact I am planning on going in a couple of weeks around New Years when we go back to the beach.
My husband and I were looking for a great seafood restaurant to try while planning our honeymoon in Myrtle Beach. I checked yahoo travel and found Captain Bennets and the great reviews it was given. The food is awesome. I believe our bill was right at $48 together. It includes all-you-can-eat seafood bar and crab legs are on the bar. My favorite item was the fried scallops! We will go back again soon!
I love seafood..but I can honestly say this is the WORST buffet I have ever been to!It is overpriced, fried, greasy, disgusting food. Not sure how they can stay in business with all the other great buffets that charge around $25 a person..the same as this place. The only thing I can honestly say that was good was the Clam Chowder..even the crab legs were not good!If you are looking for a GOOD buffet, try:1) Captain George's 2) The Giant Crab or 3) The Original Benjamins. These are all around the same price, and the selections are amazing!
