Landry's Seafood House, Myrtle Beach

We went to Landry's last night and we were expecting a great meal and experience because we were told that this was an upscale place. Yes we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door but the good experience stopped there. It took 15 to 20 minutes for our waitress to come over to our table to get our drink orders. It then took her about the same time to return with them and there was not alot of people there, maybe about four tables outside and about six inside and there was a total of about six waiters/waitress there so it should not have taken that long. We were served our salad but never got our bread even after asking for it twice. We had no silverwear on table to eat with and there was no salt or pepper on the table either. The food was not good at all. My fiance got the shrimp pilaf and i got the steak. The shrimp was over cooked and dry. I could have gotten a better tasting steak at the golden coral and that is really sad. We ended up paying over $75 for our meal and in my opinion is was not worth even half of it. Yes when you first walk in you think that you are in a very nice place but you soon realize that it stops at looks. The food was bad, the service was bad and i would never reccomend this place to anyone nor will i be returning.

No complaints here!! We have eaten at Landry's every time we have gone down to Myrtle Beach (which is 3 times a year for the last 2 years), and have not been disappointed once. It is on the pricier side, but the food and service is fantastic. Typically my boyfriend and I get the Crab Feast and split the meal, since it is more than large enough to do so. It is always excellent. The past couple of times we have strayed from our regular meal, however, and still have found nothing but great meals. I got the broiled combo platter one time, and this last time we went down we ordered the Snapper meal with crab. Well prepared. We have ordered a variety of appetizers (from the dips to the stuffed mushrooms), all of them good, but we have found a favorite in the oyster feast, where you get a sampling of 3 kinds of baked oysters - Oyster Landry, Oyster Rockefeller and Oyster Steve (possibly my favorite of the 3). I have yet to stray from the dessert however, because it is possibly an addiction of mine. If you eat at Landry's and you somehow have room to eat anything else, order the Bananas Foster. Oh my goodness!!! I am not a huge banana fan, but this is possibly one of the best desserts I have ever had. They offer this delectable goodie in either the full or half serving - so if you are unsure about it, start with the half serving. It is fantastic!! I have never been disappointed with my experience at Landry's. if you go during the warmer months sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of Broadway at the Beach. But even if you don't, the atmosphere within is just as cozy and welcoming.

We had a business group of 15 eat at Landry's a few weeks ago. We ended up sitting comfortably outside however the inside looked very nice as well. The server was great always had our drinks full and everyone enjoyed their dinner which was no small task considering they were a group that dines at nice restaurants often. The desserts were amazing and highly recommended if you have room! :)

We were extremely disappointed with Landry's in Mrytle Beach. We had eaten at Landry's in Orlando and gotten A1 service, A1 food and huge portions. With this in mind we were expecting a similar experience in Myrtle Beach. Instead we got a waiter that obviously new and mediocre, the food was mediocre and the portions a 1/3 of what we got in Orlando. To add insult I ordered Alaskan Crab and got Dungeness crabs. You can have the same experience at Red Lobster at 1/3 less the price. Avoid Landry's in Myrtle Beach.

The best place for seafood...My family and I went to Landry's on 6/24/09. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for about three years now and we are all huge seafood fans. We were told by another person to try Landry's for great seafood. That was great advice...it was a little pricey however, the portions were big...I had the shrimp fresha and it was fantastic...another person in our party had a ribeye and she said it was the best ever. It seems that from seafood to steak Landrys does a great job. We will be making Landrys a yearly visit while we are in Myrtle Beach

Landry's is a good place to eat. They have alot of different choices on the menu and everything was hot and fresh. We had a wonderful waiter and I would like to go back again. The only problem I had was a table of very loud, drunk golfers from the North, Our waiter couldn't do anything about them (which I understood perfectly) but what was sad was that the management didn't do anything about it. The men were loud and used very crude language which made for a disappointing time with friends and family. Management needs to step up and do their job....I don't think we were the only ones disappointed from looks on the faces of the other diners.

There are so many great places to eat at Broadway at the Beach, but if you're in the mood for seafood, I would definately recommend Landry's. While a bit expensive, they offer delicious varities of fish. The Redfish tasted like nothing I have eaten before, it was simple, yet excellent with butter-garlic sauce. Like many other restuarants here, outdoor seating is available along the man-made waterfront. The decor inside is beautiful with many fish mounts along the walls, wooden ceilings, and a large bar. Dinner entrees are between $16-$30, so be prepared.
