Original Shuckers Raw Bar, Myrtle Beach

I love shuckers! When its a friday or sat night and all the other clubs and bars are too packed to even move and why pay money for that, me and my freinds go to shuckers. There is no cover and there is always room to sit or stand. If its a guys night out there are tv's all over with games on them. They have the best oysters so im told and its a fun atmosphere. The servers are alot of fun and freindly too. So get over to shuckers and have some fun in Myrtle.

The bartenders and wait staff are exceptionally friendly, and patient. best oysters, dips, sandwiches..........trivia game is a ball with the locals. Definitely a locals place. We will be back!

Shuckers have the friendliest staff and an extremely exceptional menu. Shuckers have the best steamed oysters, grilled muscles, steamed shrimp, and coldest beer. I visit Shuckers raw bar located on Kings Highway every visit to Myrtle Beach, and I would recommend this raw bar to anyone.

I have been to Shuckers in past years and it had been quite good. I love steamed oysters. I visited Shuckers Broadway at the Beach location, today, 4/14/06. Out of the entire bucket, there were about 4-5 oysters of the size you would expect the entire bucket to be. All the rest were tiny and because they were so small, they were terribly overcooked into hard rubber. The server was attentive and asked me several times how my oysters were but paid no attention to my reply, assuming everything was fine. This should be prime time for quality oysters so I can only assume that they have changed their supplier, reducing both quality and cost. That alone was not enough for me to give this poor rating. When I received my order, I was given a normal dinner fork to eat them with. When I asked the server for a seafood fork, her reply was that they were all dirty, but if she found a clean one, she would bring it to me. I guess she never found a clean fork. I shudder to think what I would have had to eat with had the other forks also been dirty. I guess washing a fork to please a customer was too much effort. Well, it is too much effort for me ever to return to Shuckers. I would recommend training waitstaff in customer service prior to the arrival of the tourist season.
