THIS IS BY FAR THE ONLY PLACE FOR MEXICAN TO GO. WHAT EVER I HAVE IS ALWAYS GREAT AND YOU CAN NOT FIND BETTER SERVICE ANYWHERE, I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH I GO THERE ALL TIME. YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR GUACAMOLE IT IS THE ONLY PLACE I HAVE EVER LIKED PERFECT. THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH STARS FOR ME TO RATE THEM.

By far my favorite Mexican any place. It is not only yummy, but reasonable in price. I loved to eat there when I used to live in MB, and when I visit now I always stop in for lunch.

New found love!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/07
My husband & I stumbled across El Cerro (Surfside Beach) in April 2007 and it immediately became one of our favorites! Our daughter & her friend joined us on vacation in August 2007 and we had to go back. They loved it as well. The food is out of this world and the service was top rate. Nothing but authentic! We'll be there again in December 2007 and I can't wait!

Always a treat
By Mark, 8/31/07
We hit El Cerro Grande at least once during each trip to Myrtle Beach. The drinks are large and luscious. If you're in the mood for meat, the carne asada and carnitas are excellent. Even the fish dishes -- a big part of real Mexican food but usually give the kissoff in the U.S. -- are good. Give 'em a try, really. And the previous reviewer was right about the salsa. It's gotta be homemade. But unless you're a firebreather, ask for the mild stuff.

Best Mexican Food Ever!
By Mirb, 5/15/07
We loved this place! I love authentic Mexican food and this is the best I've had. We got there fairly late and ate outside. The service was excellent - I asked the waiter to recommend something (I always do this because they usually know best) and he recommended a dish that was out of this world! I couldn't finish it which is unusual for me, so the portions are large. The salsa and homemade chips are also great! I hope the others around the east coast are as good, because I plan on finding them and trying them all!

delicious

I am a local in Myrtle Beach. We love their food. We have been eating there for years. Everything we have tried is great. We dont even try other Mexican restaurants any more. We know no one does it like El Cerro's. They have good prices. Excelent service. We joke that they keep setting new records for how fast they serve our food to us.

Best in town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/2/06
El Cerro Grande is the best in town. The Surfside Beach location is tops and the Carolina Forest location next, but smaller. Only one place in town has better guacamole and that is Garcia's, but their food in not what El Cerrol Grande can produce.
