Captain George's is by far the best seafood buffet in Myrtle Beach. We have eaten at several seafood buffets through the years (including Captain George's in Virgina Beach) and it is excellent. The seafood is fresh, cooked well and plentiful. The atmosphere is very comfortable and CLEAN, which is important to us when eating seafood. The service was impeccable The desserts were absolutely UNBELIEVABLE, delicious and presented well. We ate here on New Year's Eve 2011 and we couldn't even tell it was crowded until we got to the parking lot. The only negative about the night is that you must exit through the gift shop, which is ok, until you get to the Time Share rep. stationed near the exit to lure you into their web. SO BEWARE! Other than that, we LOVE Captain Georges and we highly recommend it! *A really nice touch to the restaurant ambience is that all of the empty chairs awaiting diners are slightly angled perfectly toward the tables. To us, it gave the impression that the staff cares about set up and presentation. It says alot about the restaurant's attention to detail

Every time we have been to Myrtle Beach, we have eaten here. The food is just soooo tasty. Their crab legs are steamed and well prepared compared to other seafood buffets that I have been to. The oysters are fresh and the they have a good assortment of seafood. I did not try any other types of food since I couldn't stop myself from eating the seafood. There are coupons easily available so the price is pretty reasonable for good seafood. I will continue going there whenever we are in Myrtle Beach. If you like seafood and especially crab legs, you will love this place.

Much better the last time i was here. Also less expensive. I realize prices increase, but when quality and quantity goes down it is hard to justify any price increase. Had my last meal with the Cap't!!!!

During our 5 day Myrtle Beach vacation, we ate at Captain Georges 3 times. The food was great and well presented. They don't have the 200 item buffet that other local restaurants tout which I feel made my dinner selections more enjoyable and less pressured. The waiting staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We will defiantly head back to Captain Georges on our next Myrtle Beach vacation.

I enjoyed Captain Georges buffet and all it had to offer. The crablegs were neverending and fresh n hot. The oysters on the half shell were great as well as the Oysters Rockefeller. They had mussles and large clams steamed as well as small clams on the buffet. Crab claws on ice were ok. The crawdads were perfect. Hot enough to tease and would get your eyes and nose running after about ten or more of them. The main buffet is nothing but seafood. They have salad and dessert bar for the "chickens". The meal is $30 but it is well worth every penny. The tip-o-meter was running smoothley. Thats my glass of ice tea mind you. It never went empty. As long as it had tea in it the tip went up. The tea was great. Our server Sean was very very good. Flirted with the older ladies in our group (they wanted to carry him home with them). Kept the dishes cleared and even suggested places to see and visit in Myrtle Beach. If your down at Myrtle Beach I would definatley recommend you go here and eat. Its across from Broadway on the Beach. When you go in you will notice the schooner boats set in the middle of the floor in full rigging. Thats the buffets. Enjoy and eat hearty Matey!!!

I love Captain George's. It may be pricey but if you compare the quality of food on this buffet to the others around Myrtle Beach, it is well worth paying the extra for. We've been going here for years and since they first opened the food quality has never changed, it is always the best. Keep up the good work Captain.

I went to visit the Captain on 12/04/2010 approximately 6 pm. It was a great meal. The crab legs were done to perfection and plentifull, so sweet that butter was better left aside, the stuffed mushrooms, Oysters Rockafellas, crag cakes, She crab soup, scallops, clams etc. were superb. Great dessert bar and excellent service. I read some of the bad reviews about Capt. George's and wonder how a folk could gripe. I suppose if you went 5 minutes before closing there might not be as much fresh and plentiful food but I also know theres just people born to gripe. Also who goes to a seafood buffet expecting great prime rib. It's a SEAFOOD BUFFET DUH !!!! wake up and join the real world. I enjoy good food and I enjoy good friendly service. Believe me, both can be had at the captain. As far as the price? If you go on vacation and worry about every penny you spend? well I say stay home and worry. Your vacation is ruined anyway. Or do like me and take your favorite hard working Nephew along and let him pick up the tab. :)

I went to Captain George's for the first time about 2 weeks ago. LOVED IT!!! The food was great....especially the seafood which is the main reason I went there. Everything was hot and there was alot of different foods to choose from. The service was very good. The dessert stations were awesome......especially loved the cheesecake. I highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to go back again!!!
