Hoskins Restaurant, North Myrtle Beach

Excellent food. Had the Large Seafood Platter could have fed both of us. The Mahi Mahi tacos were to die for. And the Chocolate carment pecan fudge pie was amzing, well worth the 4 bucks a slice.

The fried flounder and shrimp are great. Not greasy at all. The small salad bar is very good and included in the price of each meal. If there is a line don't fret...it moves pretty fast and is worth the wait. However, don't go in after 8:15 PM cause they are taking the condiments off the tables while you sit there trying to eat. They close at 9:00 PM not 8:30 PM. I like to go in around 8:45 just to see them give me the evil eye when I walk in. It's very good food though.

Hoskins is excellent!! It's one of my all time favorite restaurants! Whenever I'm in town I have to visit Hoskins! One of my best friends suggested this place years ago, her dad has been a loyal customer since this place was established. She recommended this restaurant saying that the seafood was absolutely fantastic. After my first visit, I agreed that the seafood, chicken, and the small salad bar was to die for. I love the flounder here especially, thick, not greasy, and breaded perfectly! The shrimp are huge and plump, fried and non greasy! It's an elbows on the table kind of place, very laid back, and relaxing. Great service too!!

Let's just say the locals were standing out front, still dressed in their church clothes, when we stopped by on a Sunday. In the South, the 'after church' crowd indicates it's a GREAT place. And it was! We had the oyster sandwich and fish sandwich. Perfectly fried, not at all greasy. I give it two thumbs up! (P.S. It's not at all fancy, so certain people probably shouldn't go there, but the food and service were excellent!)

Hoskins is the Locals local. Their fried chicken is the best around, and their Friday lunch special (Calabash Shrimp plate lunch) is not to be missed. For value and quality, and a step back in time, Hoskins is not to be missed.

The food is great! The seafood is very flavorful and is not greasy at all. I eat at Hoskins every time I am vacationing in Myrtle Beach. The lunch specials are also very good and reasonable.

I will agree here. Hoskins is probably the best restaurant in North Myrtle Beach. Some of the best seafood to be had...try the scallops! Great fried chicken...excellent plate lunches, always reasonable prices. It's a favorite!

When coming to MB always ask where the locals go and they will say Hoskins. Service is Great, Food is Great, you never will be disappointed!
