My favorite in the world
By chrysalislove, 5/12/07
This is my favorite rest. in the world. I have been a loyal patron since I was 15 in Greenville. My only gripe is that currently you have to go outside to smoke. That may change again. You can't go wrong here.

My husband and I went to Myrtle Beach for a four day anniversary getaway in Aug 2009. looking for a new experience on dining I asked my husband to take me here for our anniversary dinner. We decided to go with the Big Night Out option which offerred a salad, cheese fondue, entree and chocolae fondue for two. It was super expensive, 80.00 dollars per couple and the servings were very small. We were ok with the servings since we knew we had the dessert that followed. Our favorite part of the whole meal was defenitely the cheese fondue and the heavenly chocolate fondue. The ambience and whole restaurant atmosphere was defenitely the romantic setting we were looking for. I will defenitely recommend this restaurant for the experience, the cheese fondue and of course our favorite the chocolate fondue. Probably will go there again for dessert only but not for dinner, total bill with one glass of wine each and tip was $122.00. Way too expensive! Bon Appetit!

An excellent meal
By Bryan, 8/11/06
The melting pot has great quality food, an extensive wine list, and friendly staff. In addition, there is the unique experience of cooking your own meal right at your table to set this place apart from the rest. The only drawbacks to an evening at the Melting Pot are the high cost and the lack of seating. Make sure you call ahead for reservations!

We can't wait to go back!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/7/07
I loved the setting and the food was great. It was very pricey. The cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue was excellent. I honestly preferred the bread, vegtables, and fruits more than the meat. Next visit will not choose meat as a option. The meats were good but not great like the other items. This is a great date night location. The atmosphere was awesome. We will visit again when we return to Myrtle Beach.

Deliciousness!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
Any fondue restaurant is going to be expensive, so the high prices were expected. The service was extrordinary, very polite and well trained on the meals, also a manger makes his or her rounds. The meal was delicious and the atmosphere unlike any other dinning experience. Bring a loved one or go out with friends! I can't wait till the build one in Boston!

The best!!!!
By Andrew, 8/19/06
My wife and I love the melting pot. We have eaten at two of them; Myrtle beach and Louisville, KY. The Myrtle Beach melting pot was wonderful. THe service first rate, the food excellent, and the wine list is extrordanary. Just wish the light was a little dimmer for more of a romantic feeling. The deseret fondue is a must have.

WOW!!! Everything was perfect! It was my girlfriend and I's first time doing fondue. The waitress was extremely helpful in explaining how to do things. The best part of the meal was easily the desert. The only down side is the 100 bill price tag. I woundnt eat there all the time but its a deffinate treat!

Just Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/06
My husband and I went here for the very first time last summer. He was convinced he would have to leave and go by McDonalds because he would still be hungry when he left I persuaded him to try it out. When we got there, the wait staff led us to a cozy corner and asked if we had ever been there before. When we said no, the waiter we had went into explaining all the different things on the menu and procedures in how we ordered and prepared out food. We finally ordered a special for 2 that had a variety of everything for us to try. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL is all I can say, the cheeses and sauces, along with the main course was delicios. And the desserts, the melted chocolates with all the fruits-simply wonderful!! I would recommend anyone visiting the area to try this place for a great experience. I wish we had one closer to me in North Carolina, I would visit it often.

Delicious, friendly, and pricy
By Jor, 11/21/06
My wife and I decided to try the melting pot after a day spent zooming up and down the beach on a scooter. We were terribly underdressed in shorts and polo shirts, but the hostess assured us that it was fine. Our waiter was extremely friendly, he chatted with us a lot. I really felt like he was a good friend by the time we were out of there. The food was absolutely amazing, fillet mignon w/ shrimp and chicken. You better be starving if you plan on visiting. I was stuffed about midway through the main course, but I couldn't stop, I wish I had more room in my stomach. Dessert was amazing! In the end, the bill was just over $100 for the two of us (we had one daquiri each as well) So, it currently holds the record for priciest meal for two that I've ever had. But, all in all a good time, I wish I could afford to go back often.
