Sea Captain's House, Myrtle Beach

Recommended by our hotel, restaurant was decent. 2 adults, 1 kid ate for $67, no alcoholic drinks. Free hush puppies, got the crab dip, pretty good. I ordered shrimp scampi which was decent. Daughter got fried shrimp platter and she liked it. Salad dressing has lots of herbs, sister didn't like. I thought was ok. Heard Captain George's is the place to go, will try it next time. 3 stars here.

Asked the local hotel where they would go for a great breakfast and the clerk recommended this place. We got there in time for their buffet breakfast but as soon as I saw the bacon and brie omelet on the menu-I had to order. Staff were great and prices were decent. Will definitely go back on my next visit!

HORRID, EXPENSIVE, THE WAIT WAS EXTREME, FOOD UNINSPIRED- AM FROM CHARLOTTE AND ANY SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IS A BETTER CHOICE. TOO MANY RESTAURANTS TO CHOOSE FROM IN MB TO GO BACK. PEOPLE WHO EAT HERE AND RATE IT HIGHLY, MUST HAVE LIMITED EXPERIENCE IN SEAFOOD DINING. A RESTAURANT OWNER

Good food Good service, WAY over priced for what you get.

Just had lunch w/friends today at Sea Captain's House. Was greeted with an adorable hostess who showed us to a table by the ocean. The service was excellent and prompt and the food is amazing. Don't miss this one. Can't wait to return.

My Girlfriends and I tried this place and waited an hour so we figured the food must be good. The hostess was snide and very rude when asking "how much longer" is our wait. Bartender was not very friendly, after asking for crackers as we were waiting for our table. Our waitress brought us our drinks, only after asking 3 times and we were halfway finished with our meal before we got anything to drink. Oh and the "famous" hushpuppies were brought, finally, at the end of our meal. She only had 4 tables to wait, and never once apologized. Food was great but staff was arrogant and rude. Won't be back.

FIVE STARS!!! This is the best seafood resturant in Myrtle Beach. I had both lunch and dinner. The dinner menu is priced higher as most places are. If there is somehthing you want and it is not on the menu, ask, they can take care of it for you! Quality of the food was excellent! Price was worth it! The service of the waitress was poor, but there are very few good to great waitress'. Still highly recommended!

This restaurant is worth the trip and the wait. The food is wonderful, and the service is very good. Every trip to MB includes a trip to the Sea Captain's House.

This place was gross...not worth the money at all. Red Lobster is 50 times better. Very limited menus. My husband's fried dishes were all soggy, not crispy at all. My broiled flounder had no seasoning and the rice tasted days old. Yuck. The table next to us sent their meal back because the slamon was not cooked all the way. STAY AWAY!

The Sea Captain's House is a very good seafood restaurant. You can taste the freshness in their seafood. The place is wonderful and the views from the restaurant are very nice. The service when we went back in June was good and the prices, well even with inflation were still good for the quality they presented.
