Pier 14 Restaurant Lounge & Fishing Pier, Myrtle Beach

I order rare prime rib and it was served med.rare and COLD. I asked for the filet to replace it. It was barely room temperature and just this side of raw! Does the chef think this is funny? My dining partner ordered flounder. There was more coating than fish and it tasted quite fishy ( which fresh fish should not) I can not imagine this place has any repeat local business..even though it has been here for many years. The view is nice but that s about the only reason to eat here. Our service was also very poor. When we left there were two employees at the door. Neither one spoke to us, thanked us or asked us to return...which we will not! Looking forward to a nice evening..did not have one!

This restaraunt seemed nice at first but then it turned into an awful experience. The waitress seemed like she could care less about the restaraunt. The food menu was literally only one page long, I expected more for the price and atmosphere. I chose to get a filet mignon which was $22 and ordered it well, 30 minutes later we got our food and cut into my steak and it was very rare. I wanted them to put it back on the grill at first, but after waiting 15 minutes for my server to come back around I just wanted my money back. So when the server finally came back around i told her to just take the steak i didnt want it recooked. So she went and got the manager, and he seemed to be just as ignorant. He was the owners son i think and he was not nice at all and very rude. We were not being difficult or rude and recieved bad service. I ended up paying 11 dollars for a baked potato. What a rip off. This was without a doubt the worst restaraunt and the worst service, dont waste your time or money on this place. I left still hungry and upset. Awful

totally bought into the hype here .im sorry but the people givin this place excellent reviews wouldnt know fine seafood if it swam up and bit them.atmosphere is very nice and its a great place to get a drink and take a stroll or go fishing buth the overpriced menu is horrible.Crab dip appetizer is 9 bucks and it uses imitation crab meat,maybe some cant tell but i know real crab meat when i taste it.i had the grouper crusteacean for dinner and it was heavily sauced with something that was suppossed to be hollandaise i think....disgusting fishe was overfried and the potato was cold...our bill was an astononishing 75 bucks for this sub par crap.....have drinks here have dinner somewhere else....

Go somewhere else. We were charged 18% gratiuty on 2 separate checks because we chose to sit together. One group was 2 adults & 1 child, the other was 2 adults & 2 kids. Service sucked. Waitress was incompetent. Had to be sent back 2 times to get bill correct and still screwed it up. Had to go to manager. It's like they know they are getting 18% so they forget about you. Food is ok, but not the best. Atmosphere is nice but not worth the crappy service. We did express our dissatisfaction to the manager regarding the gratutity charge - they didn't seem to care. We will not go back there. Save yourself the headache if you have over 6 people at your table. Go somewhere where you get decent service for your 18%.

We had lunch at Pier 14 today. Wonderful!! I recommend this restaurant highly. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and the crab cake sandwich was very tasty. The 3 choice combo of flounder,shrimp and oysters was just as tasty.

5 of us had dinner there tonight the tuna was fantastic ,the stuffed flounder was the absolute worst,it even had bones in it ,the service so so ,will not be in a hurry to go back there,if you want great stuffed go to villa romana ,go figure a italian rest.does it better

We have been to Pier 14 many times and it never disappoints. The food is great whether you dine outside for lunch or inside for dinner.

we just got back dfrom vacation and pier 14 is a place i look forward to going to when we visit. the food was amazing, wasnt too expensive and the drinks were great. My hotel was right down beacbh and it was so amazing to go and watch the waves while eating. the gift shop was cool too as i spent a bunch there hehe...cant wait to go back:)
