Ate there last night after much discussion about price, tried it anyway. All of the staff were fabulous and the atmosphere very interesting. Yes, $30 for the buffet was too pricey for the quality of food however if you are going for fried seafood, order the combination seafood platter off the menu for $30 and it is enough food for 3 to 4 people. You still get the salad bar and even dessert if you don't go too crazy.......
Our tour group ate supper there and enjoyed the food immensely. I told the wait staff that I have Celiac disease and must eat gluten free, and the kitchen manager came out to talk over my options. Was given a HUGE plate of tasty grilled salmon, steamed brocolli, and red potatoes. Friendly service, spacious dining rooms, great atmosphere.
Very high priced! 27.95$ a person. Lot's of food yes. It's all seafood and mostly fried. The pasta bar wasn't very good. Crab Legs were the best thing on the bar. Prime Rib wasn't that tasty. Friendly wait staff though.
First off, I would like to say they have a lot of seafood to choose from, but not very much chicken and other things for people whom are allergic to seafood. Secondly, It is 30.00 per person over the age of 13. (DOES NOT INCLUDE DRINKS, TAX or TIP. My Family of 3 ate there and we paid 117 dollars!!
I have to be honest and say that restaurant was not great! Yes the atmosphere is awesome and the staff is very friendly. however the buffet was not! the food on the buffet was not hot. it was more like room temperature. there was a hard texture on the stuffed flounder probably because it was sittin out for too long. The price for this particular buffet was not worth it. i think the basket of hush puppies that they gave us at the beginning was the best food there. skip this buffet and go to The Giant Crab!
I have eaten hear every year for about the past 15 years and it has been mostly consistant and delicious! They have a wonderful selection of various kinds of foods for everyone. Lots of seafood, meats, desserts, pastas.. you name it they proabably have it. Service has always been exceptional too. Would reccomend to anyone.
This is the best place to go for a buffet. Have been going to MB every year for the last 6 years and this is a MUST on our agenda. The crab legs are plentiful and perfectly steamed---the shrimp is to die for and the dessert bar is massive. We always use the coupons in the Monster coupon book--great savings!
My boyfriend and I ate there last night, and it was very good. The place is HUGE!!! I was not expecting such a large buffet or restaurant. I am a big crab leg eater, and I was pleased with the freshness and quality of the crab. Some of the shrimp was a little over cooked or had too much breading, but most of them were very good. My boyfriend ate the Mahi-mahi and said it was very good. Desserts were yummy too. Overall, I thought it was a great deal for the price and food we got. I will go back to the Original Benjamin's if I come back to Myrtle :)
