Ocean Drive Beach and Golf Resort, North Myrtle Beach

We love OD Resort. Been here twice a year for 10 years. We always stay here during SOS, which is primarily adults, but I wish the hotel would tell people with children that SOS week in no time for "families". If it wasn't for the children that are there during SOS, screaming, running and just being an annoyance to everyone else, it would be a perfect week. The staff is always courteous, the rooms clean and comfortable. Within waliking distance to everything!

The location was great but we were very disappointed in the room. The toilet was broken and the sitting area only had a small loveseat to sit on. I told the desk clerk about the toilet and he told me to call the next morning and someone would repair it. This should have been taken careof prior to renting the suite. We will not stay there again.

Will not be back, I would no recommend staying at this resort. We checked in at 4:00 and our room was not even ready, we got up to our room and a staff member was working on the lock on the door that did not work, and a maid was still trying to clean it. The refrigerator was off and took forever to cool, I thought our food was going to spoil.The air was off when we got there and it felt like a 100 degrees. The outlets in the bathroom did not work, took them 2 days to come fix it. The Tiki Bar that is associated with the resort, the staff were very rude and cussed at my child. The place was awful

we have stayed here several times over the last few years and planning to be there again in june2010.. rooms were clean and comfortable, enjoyed staying there with and without the kids, staff is courteous and helpfull. the location is within walking distance of the heart of Ocean Drive, several clubs close by that allows a few extra drinks without having to drive, nice restaurants and sandwich joints close, beach was clean and wide.. and of course you can drive to many more close by events .. have never had a bad experience here and usually make reservations ahead of time with orbitz getting a great rate.. looking forward to our june visit

My mother made reservations to stay at Ocean Drive... Resort in 10/08. That very same day, she became very ill. I called to cancel her reservation, explaining what had happened. I was told that she only could postpone her stay, and that a credit of $65.49 would be available when she rescheduled. She never came home from the hospital, and died on 11/09/08. A few months passed, and I called to tell them what happened. I was told that I could use the credit for myself. On 11/30/09, I called to make reservations for the following weekend. Even though the man remembered who I was, (I will withhold his name), he said there was no record of this credit, and offered me a discounted rate that anyone could get. These are cold people to deal with.

I am always skeptical when looking for lodging over the internet. The ODB&R was great for the money. Loved the rooms we shared with our two daughters. Nice view of the ocean as well. Staff was great as well as the housekeepers. Definitely would stay there again.

I have been going to this place for 9 years in a row, love it. Great location to everything fun.

nice location, walking distance to good restaurants and the beach is beautiful with smooth, fine sand. good family hotel, the lazy river is fun for the kids (and the mom), and there is a nice breakfast buffet in the hotel. the beach is very wide and good for running, and the hotel's excercise room is adequate, with a weight machine and the usual aerobic machines. in the unlikely event the weather should be bad, there is a nice indoor pool. our room had a functional kitchenet with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. the view was beautiful, the room service kept things clean, and the bathroom worked just like a bathroom should. what's not to like? well, it isn't cheap, but i think we get our money's worth or we wouldn't keep going back. one more thing. some college kids got drunk, loud and rowdy, and the hotel security had them under control in minutes. impressive.

Ok ill get straight to the point, The beds where super hard, and our room didnt have a oven, just a microwave. But the check in process was great, and the coustemer service was terrific, and liked the quick see thru elevators. The North Myrtle Beach area is more of a family type place. What I mean is that its not a really good place for teenagers. The pool was filled with yelling youngsters that make those nonsense jokes. I really liked the beach, and expecially liked the lazy river. Great place really recomend it for families. Back still hurts from the rock hard beds.

It was a nice place to stay and the rooms were very clean. The staff was helpful. I would return to this hotel again.
