Senor Tequila Mexican Restaurant, Charleston

We ordered and before you knew it, our food was on the table..

Now when you are the wife of a worker at these Latin American, Mexican Restaurants you will get bored of the Mexican food quick. I not only do I eat the same food at Senor Tequila 3 Location ever night I have the same thing at home. I am american living with a latin man. I wish their steak meals were real thick juicy american style steak like at the Outback or Longhorn. The ony reason Senor Tequila is not my top choice of Mexican Resturant is because they do nt have good desert menu. La Hacienda has the better desert menu.

On Thursday December 22, 2005 I just got off a plane from Shreveport, Louisiana and my brother in law picked me up at the Charleston, South Carolina airport and we ate at Senor Tequila after that and it was one of the best MEXICAN RESTAURANTS I ever ate at we have eaten at Senor Tequilia several times before and at least once since that night but that perticular night the food was out of this world. EXCELLENT MEXICAN FOOD. I will go absolutly go back again.

The food quality is a hit and miss, sometimes it tastes good, sometimes it tastes ok. The service is terrible however. They are fast for the most part, but they will always forget to bring something. The previous time I ordered to go and they did not include the salad that came with my meal, but they charged me extra for the extra salsa I ordered. Last time I took my wife there and we both agreed that our server was mad for some reason. He did not ask us how our food was or offer to refil our drinks. I guess they were short handed and he wasn't happy about it. At the end I went and paid leaving the tip on my card and making it an even number. When I checked my statement online, I saw they charged me extra 50 cents. Now 50 cents is not a big deal. It was probably a mistake, but I wanted to let them know about it. If they charge every customer 50 cents more that's plain stealing. I expected the manager to say that it was a mistake and apologize, I didn't even want my 50 cents back, but no - he started arguing with me. The sad thing was, I believe he was the owner of the place. The lady who sometimes works the register is his wife I suppose, and she isn't any better in her customer service skills either. They might gain 50 cents, but they lost me and my wife as customers!
