Elegant Eating

We first found Anson's several years ago while attending a conference in Charleston. It was nothing short of superb then and has maintained a fine reputation over time. Service is courteous, helpful, and prompt. Presentation is always lovely. Lamb and grouper are favorites regardless of the preparation. We have now retired to South Carolina and always find an escuse to visit Anson's when in Charleston. Mr/Mrs Anthony Tomlinson, Georgetown, SC

The deep fried pork chop is to die for. I know it sounds weird, but it is excellent. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

the best of Charleston

I traveled on business to Charleston every 6 weeks for 5 years. This is the best of the best. Whether you are a woman dining by yourself, with a date, or with a business group the service is great, food fantastic, and great atmosphere. Come as you are! DOn't miss the BBQ grouper- the grits will make a Yankee sing :)

The she crab soup was just okay. The salads were marginal. The scallops were over cooked. The fried flounder was good. The deserts were really nothing special. A dissappointing meal over all.
