Great Restaurant!!! We had both a wrap and salad. They were both outstanding!!! Warm, friendly service. A great alternative to all of the delicious Southern cuisine and Seafood that Charleston serves up.
In the photo, Brent's is the pinkish looking building in the middle. Great, very casual place to get filled up on. You order your items from the cooks behind the food counter. You pay the cashier and can leave a dollar in the tip can if you'd like. Get your drink cup and walk over to the all-you-can-drink soda fountain or tea tanks. They call out your order when it is ready which might be 5 minutes and you walk back to get it from a cook. I had to spend some days downtown recently and have had two big sandwich wraps, all-you-can-eat salad bar, and the BBQ plate that includes two side items and corn bread. Every day has been terrific, delicious, and inexpensive. The many side items such as squash casserole, green beans, corn, southern rice and mashed potatoes are served in large containers. They do not skimp. You will be satisfied, filled up, happy, and wanting to get hungry again so that you can go back. That is how good this place is. You will see all sorts of people there in all sorts of clothes, flip flops, tee shirts, ties, and pretty dresses. If you are a tourist and don't take a walk to Brent's to fill up on delicious food with locals for 7$ to $11 then you have missed out on a Charleston gem. Don't forget to refill your drink cup to take down the street. They are open until 3pm on weekdays, 2pm on Saturday and do not sell alcohol. Their website is brentsonbroad.com.
