Decided to give this place a try this weekend. I'm always on the lookout for good authentic Mexican food, and those are few and far between.
The good news: the style here is completely authentic. Not the watered down Americanized Mexican sold at so many other places. They also had VERY good salsa for the chips.
The bad: the food overall wasn't that great. Meat selection for the tacos was a little limited (and they were a bit high - $2 - $3 each for traditional tacos), and on the ones I ordered (Tacos Carnitas), the meat was a bit on the crispy/dry side. Not burnt, but definitely overcooked.
Not a bad place to stop, but most of the road-side taco stands seem to have better food, and if you're looking to sit down, Santi's Downtown or La Nortena in N Charleston are better options.
