We went to the Mount Pleasant site. My daughter ordered the tuna. She hated it (and is normally a tuna lover). While unstated on the menu, theirs is loaded with filler (i.e., celery and onions). We asked for something else and at $8 a sandwich, I would rather she have something that she is going to eat. They were more than willing to let us spend another $8 instead of pleasing the customer like any other restaurant from a one to five star would. Their customer service skills were dismal and left something to be desired. I have been treated with more respect from McDonalds that they show their customers. The next time I want to pay $30 to eat sandwiches, I am definitely going to take my business elsewhere and I would advise the same. Someone needs to clue them in that it is about the experience as much as it is the food.
To avoid the dryness and to much bread with the tuna sub, how about trying this; slice the bun horizontally not vertically. And, create a sub that is more suitable to the eater. More bang for the buck. For the poor Charlie Sub truly needs a more eater friendly makeover.
I had their so-called Philly at the downtown locale...it was ridiculous, there was hardly anything on the roll...8 dollars! ironic that right next door is a fantastic sandwich place, Ted's Butcherblock.
Tuna sub needs help. Lots of help. I would suggest trying Jason's Deli or Firehouse Sub's. I want food not a designer bun. How much tuna is on your Charlie? One tablespoon in a small slice on top of the white bread that took forever to chew and was too tough to chew. Try mayonaise next time. And it took a microscope to see if it had tomatoes on it. Not to forget the cheese, for it had no taste whatsoever. And for the value for the buck, there is none. It's over for me. I am out of there!. Never go back!.
