This restaurant is wonderful! My husband and I ate there at the recommendation of his aunt and have placed it in the top 10 restaurants we have tried. Their crispy flounder is amazing; you have to try it. We have tried to immitate it, but haven't even come close. If you're in Charleston, don't miss a chance to eat at this restaurant.
We were seated promptly. Staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. Appetizers were good. However, main meal was disappointing. I had the crispy flounder. My wife had the mahi mahi. Son had the alfredo. Only my son enjoyed the meal. Not much flavor to the food. Being from Louisiana, I like flavor in my seafood. Not much here. Sad if this is the best in Charleston.
The best food i've had in Charleston (and in Charleston, that is saying a lot). Seafood with an italian flare. On my last visit I had a special that involved a piece of mahi stuffed with ricotta and crab meet and a nice sauce over linguini. Quite possibly the best fish i've ever had. And the service is always fantastic. Highly recommended!
Garibaldi's is a long time resident of the Charleston area. Situated in the heart of the downtown market, it's location is easy to find, it's food is hard to miss. My husband's favorite is the crispy flounder, the best in the lowcountry. My favorite is the chicken parmesan. This is an upscale dining experience whose only flaw is that they have too many people trying to eat and not enough space. There is a time a place for chain dining such as Carraba's, etc. but if you want delicious italian with a lowcountry influence, you will find it here!
