For people who love their food grilled to perfection, Grill 225 is the place to be. With classic wood-paneling and plush interiors, this restaurant is an added glory to the luxurious Market Pavilion Hotel . Seated in the charming ambiance, be prepared to be served delicious steaks by Executive Chef Demetre Castanas. And the quality is uncompromised for, as the restaurant takes pride in being a 100% USDA Prime steakhouse. The extensive lunch includes delightful 'Oysters Rockfellerkobe', 'Beef burger', 'Fried Jumbo Shrimp' and 'filet of tuna'. Whereas the dinner has exotic specialties like 'Steak Foie Gras' and ' Pizzaoila New York Strip.' And to top it all, a premium wine list to relish the flavors. So step in for steaks and grills to enjoy the taste nowhere to be found!
Although Grill 225 is very expensive, the steaks were tender and the meal was well prepared. I must recommend the Key Lime dessert. The best by far. Reservations are a must and all the food is a la carte so our dinner for 2 was well over 200.00. The only reason I rate it at 4 instead of 5 is that it is very pricey.
Our whole experience was phenomenal. The wait staff was exceptional and incredibly willing to help with any questions. The atmosphere was beautiful and we sat in our own very nice private booth. I would highly recommend this restaurant, but be prepared to spend $100 per head. Also, I would recommend going upstairs prior to dinner or afterwards for a drink on the roof top bar---great view of Charleston.
