82 Queen is pricey but have you seen the other restaurants? Perfect Meal!! My husband is a certified cook and it is difficult at best to find a restaurant that pleases him. We had the fried green tomatoes, roasted beet salad, shrimp and grits and frogmore stew ... all incredible!! There are many upscale restaurants in Charleston but 82 Queen keeps to the low country where as the others you can get their same type of food in N.Y or Vegas. We will definitely be back to 82 Queen.

Like other Charleston eateries 82 Queen has seen better days. I would rather pay more and get better food. Nothing special to me, but worth the exp for tourists.

My second visit here was exactly the opposite experience as the first. The first time we were seated in a quiet area of the outdoor courtyard. The second time we were squeezed into a table upstairs directly under the AC vent. Will the real 82 Queen please stand up. For their prices and the great choices in Charleston, I won't gamble to find out!

My wife and I went to 82 Queen over our anniversary weekend last year and had a great time. The menu, lighting, and service were top notch. While a bit on the pricey side, visiting 82 Queen is a must for a nice night out on the town in Charleston. While I didn't see it on this list, I would also strongly recommend Hank's in Charleston as well.

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be one of our favorite Charleston restaurants, but our last visit, with guests, was mediocre, at best. Our waiter had all the personality of a cardboard cut-out of Ed Sullivan. When we asked for some information on a California claret he told us he wasn’t much of a red wine drinker, but knew it was a blend of red wines. My wife and I always split salads, as do our guests, and had done so two previous nights at SNOB and Cypress with no problem. Here at 82 Queen, however, they notified us there was a $3 charge to split salads. The amount doesn’t bother me as much as the cheesy attitude of a supposedly upscale restaurant to charge for splitting a damn salad. My meal was billed as a shrimp and crawfish etouffee, but the only crawfish was one whole-bodied mud bug tossed on top of the dish. The shrimp were overcooked and the etouffee itself was pretty tasteless. I had to ask for Tobasco to add some taste to it. This place is off our list altogether.

Went to 82 Queen on honeymoon stay and my wife and I both enjoyed it. Also they have a very nice place to sit outside and its not on the side walk. Service was great and food was perfect. Will definitely go back next vacation in Chaleston.

Went to 82 Queen for Sunday brunch on 1st day in Charleston--what a great introduction to the city and its food. Sat outside on the patio--very lovely and cool in spite of the heat. Menu very interesting--classic southern, but with some seafood-based twists, including eggs benedict served with fried green tomoato, crabcake and grits--excellent. Great bloody mary as well.

Very nice place to eat. The service was very helpful and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and wonderful! We both loved the she crab soup! I have been here for lunch and dinner, and I am always satisfied from the beginning of the meal until the end. I wish I lived closer, so we could visit more frequently! Highly recommend to locals and tourists!

Had a beautiful meal. The fried chicken is to die for. Best in the city. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful. One of our party had the meatloaf and loved it.
