OMG, Red Orchids is amazing. Based on reviews from this web site, I took a chance that it would be worth while. Red Orchids is worth while and much more. Atmosphere A, Mixed drinks A, Service A+, and Food A+++. This is the best Chinese food I have ever had outside of New York. Do yourself a favor, go and enjoy

Since I've lived in Charleston (about 4 years), I have been unable to find a great chinese restaurant until I went to Red Orchids. It is delicious. I love the tangerine chicken and the chicken lettuce wraps. Definitely worth checking out.

It is truly the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food is very fresh and delicious. When my parents come to visit from Washington DC it is a must that I always take them there.

If you haven't visited this tucked away treasure, you are missing out. From the unique dishes prepared by Manderin chefs to the fine wine selection, you will thoroughly enjoy your experience. My personal favorite is the Tangerine Chicken with thinly shaved pieces of chicken fried in a light batter and covered a sweet tangerine sauce. You will be addicted as well. Be sure to enjoy a drink at the bar and meet the owner, Tony.

I started out as a takeout customer, but loved the ambiance. If you are sitting at the bar, the owner will introduce you to the other regulars and welcome you into their conversations. The food is always excellent and the wait staff, friendly. I can't go more than 3 days without just stopping in, and I've never found better Chinese food anywhere else!

a beautiful flower in a busy city. hidden between a cvs and big lots is a little peice of china. I have eaten here at least 6 times in the past year and i can no longer just call out for chinese i have to eat here.
