Travinia Italian Kitchen, Columbia

More than Excellent, this restaurant is amazing! The pastas are incredibly delicious, the wine is superb, the pizzas are wonderful and i could go on and on! The lights are dimmed in the afternoon creating a wonderfully comfortable and relaxed setting to enjoy your wine and meal. The waitstaff are professional, super friendly and they know the menu....All of us can appreciate that! I have been to Travinia's several times and I always walk out happy and amazed at the quality of food. I also love the ambience of the more sophisticated crowd. There are also minimal distractions (aside from the gorgeous lighting and interesting paintings) so my husband and I can enjoy eachother's company and conversation. Travinia's, please don't ever change and may God bless you!!

The most unsatisfying meal I've had in years. Whoever said it reminds them of up north must have been drunk. I'm originally from Chicago and I did not get that warm and fuzzy feeling. To start my meal I ordered a salad, to my surprise they did not have any of the main dressings, i.e. Italian. I was told they made their own dressings. The dressing they gave me was awful. I then ordered a spaghetti dinner and was told that they did not have any garlic bread. They give you a large piece of bread with your meal that looks like a big piece of baked dough that doesn't really taste like anything. I thought the spaghetti would be hearty and robust in flavor but it was quite skimpy and bland, although they gave me a large bowl full. My friend ordered a pizza meal and it was made with goat cheese and tasted like it too, plus it was hard. I then asked the waiter his name and he told me that Emeril (the guy on TV), had instructed them not to give out their names unless someone asked them to. I thought that was odd. I didn't know that Emeril had anything to do with this restaurant. Normally when you order a big meal like spaghetti, you may want to take your leftovers home with you. However, when asked, I declined. When I left, I felt very unsatisfied and still hungry for a real meal. Also, even though we were the only patrons there at the time, it took them almost an hour to bring our meal.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. Excellent food and Service!!! We love the Italian Nachos!!! This restaurant reminds my husband and I of restaurants back home in Chicago..We love it!!

Travinia Italian Kitchen has got to be one of the only restaurants in Northeast Cola that reminds me of up north living. The music, great wine selection, food and service from anthony and his staff... WOW!!!! Started coming a year ago after my husband and I moved down from Staten Island NY.. Check them out,,

Delicious food and top notch service. Love the parmesan encrusted flounder with orzo and capers. Nice and friendly staff, very clean atmosphere and good lighting.

Amazing Place!!! We were celebrating my parents 50th anniversary ... Mr. Milano and his staff truly made our family and friends feel like they were the most important people in the restaurant. The Food and Service was top notch... Italian Nacho's and Calamari Amazing!!!...

From the Hostess to the wait staff to the manager all employees were attentive, polite and the service was outstanding. The food was some of the best I have experienced(cesear salad, veal marsala). Live smooth jazz duo are very good musicians (Thursday nights). I would eat here often if I lived in Columbia, unfortunately the 1,000 mile drive from my home prevents that. Travinia exceeds expectations in every way.

Now this is an Italian restaurant. Great ambiance, great food and if I remember correctly even good service.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in New York. But the food does not even come close. You will find better food at the Olive Garden.
