My husband and I were recently in Asheville for 9 days, and ate at the Sunny Point Cafe twice, once for lunch, and once for breakfast.
For lunch we had vegetable soup and fried green tomatoes. The soup was very good, and the tomatoes were excellent. I'd give that meal 4 stars.
For breakfast we had omelets, veggie sausage, a biscuit, and home fries. The omelets were overcooked -- dry and even hardened on the edges. The veggie sausage was also overcooked, like hockey pucks - they were hard to cut with a knife. The potatoes were tiny squares like you can buy in frozen foods, and not very tasty. The biscuit was delicious. I'd give that meal 2 stars.
So, I'm averaging the two meals at 3 stars. When we go back to Asheville, we probably won't go back to the Sunny Point Cafe.
