Yoshida Japanese Steak House, Asheville

Due to the positive reviews this place receives from it s patrons, I can t help myself but to check it out. Indeed, this place rocks! I walked out of the door fully satisfied with the money I parted with. Great service and decor.

Went to yoshidas last night for my birthday. I have always went to yoshidas once or twice a year for the past 15 years. But last night was the best experience I've ever had there. The waiter was great! He was very attentive, social and came to the table every 15 minutes to check on us (I wish i could remember is name). The chef was also great, the best chef we have ever had at yoshidas over the past 15 years. The chef was American but in my opinion he was better than the Japanese chefs. The food was great, he was very social, talented and very entertaining, we all laughed the whole time. From now on when we eat at yoshidas we will request that Dave be our chef. Those of you planning on going to yoshidas, request that Dave be your chef and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. The only complaint I have in regards to the restaurant itself is that they no longer have the cabbage and sprouts. This was part of the meal that we always look forward to. Please bring back the cabbage and sprouts!!!

We used to eat at Yoshidas just on special occasions, buy my family likes the food and service so much, we eat there often. This is not a chain restaurant, but owned by a local family, great people.

Yoshidas Japanese Steakhouse is amazing. they are now serving lunch!! for a quiet delicious lunch where prices are cut in half go to yoshidas!!

I have eaten at Yoshida's ever since I was little. I have been to other Japanese restaurants and the environment isn't the same and the food doesn't taste as good. Yoshida's is a very friendly warm place as soon as you walk in. The chefs are fun and full of entertainment! They keep you lauging through out the entire meal. It is definately a good place for your family to go. Depending on what you want to eat, it could be a little pricey but they have the Early Bird from 4:30 till 6:30 and it's a lot more food then you expect and it's for $14.99. it's absolutely delicious and the left overs are even better! If you have never been then at least try it out because you will not regret it!!

My wife love eating japanese when we travel, and of course we always compare them to our favorite one back home, but this is the first time we've ever ate at one where we truly enjoyed it as much as eating at home. The food was prepared just the way we requested the soup was wonderful, the steaks cooked just right and the seasoning wasn't overpowering like at a lot of places. If were ever in the Asheville, NC area again craving Japanese this will be our choice. Also the restuarant seemed to be very clean, which is always important to a first time visitor.

I've eaten at probably a dozen or more Japanese steakhouses all over the country and the world and Yoshida is hands down the best of them all. The dipping sauces (especially the mustard and the ginger) are absolutely delicious and the ginger salad dressing is also the best of it's kind I've ever tried.
