Angelo's Downtown Pizza, Hayesville

Being from New York, I can say that I used to be impressed by the pizza at Angelo s. It was very close to NY style. However, yesterday I ordered two large cheese pizzas to go, and when I got them home, they were not up to Angelo s usual standard. They were bland-tasting and not like the NY style they purport to be. I called the owner today to discuss it and he became immediately hostile and defensive, and unwilling to take constructive criticism from a loyal customer of 5 years. Accusing me of simply looking for a buck, he told me, I don t give a sh#$ about your opinion. If you don t like it, eat somewhere else . Needless to say, I was shocked and dismayed that a business owner in this economic climate could be so cavalier about throwing away a loyal customer s business. So I politely told him he was being a total a%# hole and hung up. Bottom line: Angelo s has gone downhill since Pizza Divas closed, with a who-cares attitude about customer satisfaction. I for one will never darken their doorstep again, nor will my wife, our daughter, her husband or any of their 5 children. I hope their shameless behavior will lead to their restaurant s demise. It couldn t happen to a nicer fellow.

Bets pizza in the area. Period. Atmosphere isn't too impressive, but the service is good and the pizza is THE BEST in the area. Excellent crust, good flavor and the quality of the ingredients is very good. If you're going through the area, it is definitely worth a stop.

like, OMG this is like the best pizza ever...When i went to this pizza place there were two hot guys and there cuttie son. They made the best pizza ever yummy in my tummy! Like when i took like 1 bite of like this fablous pizza i like wanted to kiss the cook and the other hotty but yes.Why would you want to go to pizza divas and like mikas pizza when you have like Angelos downtown pizza and the two hot guys...i

Never been to New York, but when I do go, they're gonna have some big shoes to fill. Best italian combo I've ever had, and the pizza is to die for. Try the special.

Of the three pizza joints in this town, Angelo's is the best by far, the cheapest, and the fastest. Not all the amenties as some of the other places, the food is superb in quality and price. You will not find a better pizza, calzone, or sub anywhere in this area, believe me. Try it!

its okay i like mikas better though its okay

i eat there two times and the people where nice but the food was not good.
