Asiana Grand Buffet, Asheville

I have tried this place a few times hoping to like it. Unfortunately, I always get a stomach ache. I really wish there was a place for real Chinese food in Asheville.

I have visited the one on smokey park hwy a few times and the last time i went, i realized how absolutly nasty that place is. the bathrooms are horrible and always has a awful odor in them. the carpets are so dirty. the whole place is nasty! i dont know how they stay open. the food is good, but we havent visited this location since i noticed how nasty it was. they are very friendly, but nasty.

I tend to very picky about the Oriental food that I eat and this Buffet surprised me. Not only do they have a wide variety of dishes (from several different Asian origins), but the food is incredably good for a commercial restaurant. Except for the shrimp dumplings, which were not up to my standards, my dinning experience was wonderful. The waiters, even though their English wasn't great, were quick to take away finished plates and refill drinks. For just under $13 a person (this is the dinner price, btw), it is a great place to take friends and family for a good dining experience.

My husband and I like to go to the Hendersonville rd location, it's great for sushi take out and you get every penny's worth. Their selection is also good for those who don't usually like chinese food. We often take our tourist friends there.

I ate there with a group April 2. Previous visits I was quite pleased with the buffet, but this time was a whole other experience. The chicken entrees I chose were overcooked. The beans which are supposed to be hot were ice cold. Something must have been wrong with the heating element under the buffet, which left me wondering how many other items on the buffet were not at correct temperature. The crab filled pastries were hard and stale. I usually make two trips to the buffet, but this time I went only once. Why waste calories on garbage, right? I thought the dessert buffet would be okay, but there was just a spoonful of banana pudding left (my favorite) and it was gray looking and unattractive. Plus no one was coming to refill it, so maybe that was all there was. The ice cream machine on the vanilla side was broken. All in all, unmemorable, overpriced and awful. Won't eat there again.

I wish they would have the balloon guy there for the kids on a consistent basis. If I hae a choice of places to go with the family I would rather go where they balloon dude is right there at my tablee entertaining and even urging my kids to eat. however I've only seen him at the asheville asiana once in 4 years . he used to be there quite often. the children really love him and he seems to be a great crowd pleaser. if anyone else has children I would highly suggest you ask for him whenever there. I tipped him $5 for his awesome creations, he even did them behind his back. I allways assumed he worked theree as I saw him eating at the employeees tablee with thee other waiters, but he is hardly there. thee food is way above par as far as asian buffeet's in asheville and definatly thee largest for a reason. the sushi is awesomee for a buffet too as it is made fresh bythe hour as far as I can tell. really wish they had the balloon guy coming around more often though.

My husband took me to Asiana for the first time a few years ago. We went to the one on Smokey Park and we've gone many many times since and always loved it. We tried the Asiana on Hendersonville Rd for the first time a few months ago. We've tried there 3 times total since it's the one nearest our house. This last attempt a few weeks ago was the last time we will ever visit that one. The first time we left with just me feeling sick. I was actually throwing up in the parking lot. The second trip 3 of the 5 in our family were sick and this last time we found uncooked baby crabs under the muscles my husband had gotten. I had thought the first time was just my rather touchy stomach and didn't think anything. The second time I chalked up to not every place can be great all the time. But 3 times there's no excuse.

i love asina buffet its really good i go 2 the 1 on smkypark hwy only b'cause its rite dwn the rd from were i wrk so it not 2 far if u like that kind of food thats the place 4 u

I went to the Asiana on Hendersonville Road. The buffet is huge and the selection is excellent. Everything from chicken & fish to the standard stir fry and even fresh sushi. The food selection includes mild flavors and spicy choices as well. There are desserts and fresh fruit too. Something for everyone! I had the salmon, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken and much more! Go hungry and take your time because the food is excellent. The service on drink refills is a bit slow, but that's ok because the everything about Asiana is first class. The whole place is clean, the buffet is neat and someone is there replacing foods all the time. The restrooms were clean, the floors were clean, the tables and chairs polished - this is the kind of place to know you are getting more than a good meal. Take your family, friends and co-workers, you will be loved.
