Chestnuts Cafe, Andrews

Wow! I don't think a restaurant could be worse. The French Onion soup was disgusting. I've never tasted anything like it and I love French Onion soup. It tasted like vinegar and the onions were tough. The popcorn shrimp were cooked nicely but had no taste except for the overly breaded coating. I was going to try the bread pudding until I read the dessert card featuring "infamous" bread pudding. Yikes!!! Billboard on the highway offers catering. I'd stay far away from any party catered by Chestnuts Cafe. As for "fine dining" - that at least should offer something more than a paper placemat. The staff was friendly but apparently hid in the kitchen watching the slowest cook (I refuse to call anyone creating such horrible food a 'chef') in the world. It took forever to even get my water. Don't eat here - you'll be sorry if you do.
