I love this place. Great Service. Elegant but modern decor, Fine dining.
Great Lounge to have a glass a wine with your date, very romantic setting.
They have a pianist playing some nights and a view overseeing a gorgeous lake. Sunday Brunch is the best in town.
Breathtaking view, outstanding food, Alan's Maniac Hotsauces (for those who enjoy a little spice in their life), and overall wonderful place to dine. They do private parties and a sunday champagne brunch. As a local of one year, I highly recommend!
This restaraunt consistently gets nods form all locals and writers but our experience there was mixed.
The service was quite good, but unfortunately, three of our entrees had to be sent back and the replacement took so long that dinner was absolutely spoiled.
I had the Coq au Vin and found it terrific, highly recommended! However, all ordering trout could not eat it, if you want trout by all means go to Cashiers and eat at the Orchard. The trout at On The Verandah was fishy, mushily fleshed, and entirely avoidable--no fish of that quality should slip past a chef. I have been eating rainbow trout since I was 6 and know that farm raise dtrouts are always a gamble, this one was a loss.
However, my entree was so fine that I personally will go there again.
Lovely place, fine service, good wine list and bar.
