My husband and I went to Cashiers for the first time for our one year wedding anniversary.. we had a VERY BAD experience at Micah's so we didn't know what to expect from the Orchard. We were so pleased with The Orchard that it will be the first restaurant we go to on our next visit to Cashiers (the other being the Sapphire Brewing Company which we were also pleased with). The service was fantastic! (ask for Jack-unsure if the spelling is correct- but she's a wonderful server). The food was even better--definately try the honey mustard vinegrette, the best salad dressing I have ever had! Also, we were given free creme brulees since it was our anniversary and they were just as wonderful as our entrees!!! Don't let the brown bagging scare you, either. We brought wine with us to Cashiers, but if you didn't, hit up the Sapphire Brewing Company-they sell wine by the bottle there. We went into the Orchard not knowing what to expect, but were treated like regulars. It is a wonderful place, located in a renovated house and we sat on the screened in patio. Wonderful!! I don't think you will find better in Cashers!!! The people and the food ( we didn't even get take-out boxes because we ate it all!!) made it an experience we aren't likely to soon forget!!!
