well I went in gave my name on waiting, an noticed one of the cooks handling his cell phone while preparing peoples food. i told the manager take my name off the waiting list. one of the cooks is not washing his hands after handling his cell, he was texting on his phone while handling peoples food. If that isn't nasty what is ! Cell phone's are nasty ! I WONT BE EATING THERE EVER !

You can't go wrong with breakfast at Peter's Pancakes. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic. We go there at least once each time we're in the Cherokee area.

My wife and I come to Cherokee every year to stay on the river and relax. We eat breakfast every morning at Peters. I like it. We have been coming to Cherokee for about twenty seven years. We have been eating breakfast at peters for more years than I can remember.

We have made Peter's our top spot for over twenty years, and can not imagine a trip to Cherokee without the greatest blueberry pancakes and country ham that you cannot find anywhere else. We have always experienced great service. Coming to Peter's was like coming home because we were greeted warmly by our dear friend, Thom Jaros, who felt like a brother. After reading all the reviews he would be proud that his legacy is still ongoing. The Sisters from Georgia.

This was by far the best place my family and I ate at on our whole trip in the smoky mountains this year. The place was a bit busy (very understandable) The food was just awesome! Had Pecan Pancakes and I have to say they were the best pancakes I have eaten anywhere in the country!

What a wonderful experience! We visited on a cold Sunday morning. The smell was wonderful, and the food was even better. I loved those buckwheat pancakes. We had a great view of the river, the service was fantastic. Can't wait to go back. I would recommend Peter's to anyone!

Peter's Pancakes and Waffles is delicious! I was skeptical when I entered because it smelled like it might be a grease pit, but I was wonderfully surprised when the food arrived (very quickly) and looked great and tasted even better. My two sons (ages 17 and 12) and I went for breakfast. They have your typical eggs, omelets, grits and potatos. But if you want heaven on your tongue order biscuits and gravy or any of the various pancakes selections. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, the price was right, and it was right off the side of the road, very easy to find. We already marked it as a favorite place to return the next time we are in or passing through Cherokee.

Breakfast if great at Peter's Pancakes
By KevinB, 4/1/07
I have been to this restaurant about 5 or 6 times during visits to Cherokee, NC. The breakfast here is very good. I have to recommend the Backpacker Pancakes. Order these with the sugar-free syrup and you have a great breakfast that will keep you going strong all day. My second favorite meal would have to be the Buckwheat Pancakes.
